Looking at an almost new 2019 TRD Sport 4x4 with under 5K miles, Tech Package, TRD Premium Sport Package and sunroof for $32K. I haven't tried to negotiate a price yet but wondering if I'd simply be better off finding a similar 2020 model for a maybe $3-4K more and take advantage of the 0% financing. Also, are the improvements to the 2020 worth the extra few grand?

This would be 1 of 2 daily drivers I use and it will spend 95% of it's time driven on pavement.

If you care at all about the improvements in the 2020s, I'd say it is more than worth it. The upgraded radio with Android Auto and CarPlay itself I would think would be enough to get someone over (on top of being first owner with 0 miles, truly being able to call it "new"). The power seat, LEDs if you get them, etc. are bonuses too. You can also probably knock a grand or more off the lifetime cost due to the 0% vs. financing a used vehicle where rates aren't quite as low.

General consensus is going to be to get the new one so you can take advantage of either the 0% or 1750 rebate. Payment wise, 0% is worth approximately 2500 on a low 30s loan. Also value of 1 model year newer.

New features are Apple CarPlay stereo and power adjustable seats which allows you to put the seat little over an inch lower. probably something I’m forgetting but that’s what is important to me

Finalized a deal with a dealership in VT for a Cement 2020 TRD Sport DCLB. It came with the premium package, tech package, LED headlights, tonneau cover, mud guards and all weather mats

    MSRP: $45,451
    Sales Price: $41,500

This was using the 0% APR rather than the $1750 rebate.

just pulled the trigger. 2020 TRD OR DCSB automatic 4x4, silver. No premium package. TBH I'm not sure what packages it has.
    location: Alabama

    MSRP: $39,7xx
    Paid: $34,1xx plus tax/title

If anyone wants a white 2020 TRD OR DCSB automatic in white, there's one in Peoria, IL for a killer price.

The deal was in the state of Maryland at a high volume dealership named Darcars. The truck was their for about a month because apparently Limited Tacoma's don't sell like the TRD do.

First Post. In Southern California looking for a Offroad DCLB, 4X4, Offroad Premium Package (JBL, Moonroof, Leathe). Preferred colors Voodoo Blue, Barcelona Red or Quicksand.

I have been able to find a Barcelona Red in stock with MSRP of $45.5k, which included a few other extras, but dealer will only take $1k off to get to $44.5k. Not sure if they are bluffing or not. We shall see. They are claiming the factory shut down is creating shortages so demand is high. I was polite and didn't say anything, but thought to myself that if demand was high Toyota wouldn't be offering 0% financing. So I told them I would pass at that price. Time will tell. They do have to make a trade to get it from another dealer within 100 miles.

Have checked in with a few other dealers and several of them are saying they are no longer trading with other dealers due to C-19 due to risk of getting the vehicles in a non-sanitized state from the other dealer and risking their employees and customers health.

Let me know your thoughts on this price

2020 Tacoma TRD sport 4 x 2 silver sky metallic.

    MSRP: $35,920

    Offer price: $34,951 before rebate

dealer claims this is $1,000 above invoice. Won’t budge any further. Is this a good deal?

    Vehicle spec sheet attached.

    Thanks!

Atrocious price even by already dismal SoCal pricing standards, especially given that it's a 4x2. For negotiating leverage, I personally would wait until new shipments of Tacomas start replenishing dealers' supply (SoCal), which won't happen until June/July according to a couple dealers I spoke to. Though who knows if the current financing incentives/rebates will still continue by then.

Does anyone know what the average discount on MSRP typically is through the Costco auto program?

I'm sure they have more wiggle room on the price of the truck, but they are not bluffing about the shortages and demand. I've been keeping tabs on the inventories of 5 dealers in my area since I was looking in late March. All of the dealers now have really, really low inventory and barely any ORs/Sports models on their lots. The biggest dealer in my area had 84 Tacomas in late March. They are now down to 8. This dealer and another I was talking to both told me that they weren't expecting any new Tacomas until June 1st. If you are looking for a deal, I'd expand my search to different areas/states. A few CA members on this thread have found really good deals from neighboring states.

Really? I have USAA and I have a gap offering as well as the +20% payout option. Could this vary state by state? I'm in WA for context.

Happy to say I finally have a Tacoma!!

I purchased a 2020 TRD OR DCLB AT 4x4 Super White with Premium Package, Advanced Tech, LED lights, and the following port installed accessories (Cargo Lights, Power Tailgate, Predator Steps, Premium Carpet and Blackout Package)

This was the exact spec that I was looking for other than the premium carpets haha.

I utilized the Costco Program and was provided the pricing quickly as well a decent values for my trade ins. Basically was able to work out the deal over a few emails and a couple of phone calls.

    MSRP $46,951

Sales Price $43,021 including a $299 Dealer Installed Protection Program (Originally $1495 but automatically discounted 80% via Costco and included LLumar Tint plus a few other protection items that I didn’t mind paying that price for) plus a $150 Doc Fee.

I took advantage of the 0% in lieu of the $1750 Rebate.

Was able to negotiate a Fidelity Platinum Warranty for 4 years/120K for $1736 and Gap for $650. They originally wanted $3000 and $899 for both which I had to decline at those prices. I drive about 30K per year with my job so I felt it was worthwhile to get them at the reduced prices.

Overall I feel like I got a solid deal especially considering it was the last White Premium w/ LED TRD OR in DFW.
It seems like these builds have been going quickly and dealers have been less reluctant to provide good deals on the remaining ones available.

I would like to thank everyone for all the valuable information provided on this thread.

I’m stoked to enjoy my new Taco!!

It doesn’t seem too far off. Mine was a hair over $31k OTD. Mine is also 2 years older with no tech package and no LED’s

    Still in progress...
Had everything completed just before the shutdown. Needed the smog check, VIN verification was done at the DMV when I picked up the plates. Took 3+ weeks for the local DMV to send me the notice that the paperwork had been processed and that I should come in to pick up the plates. I imagine that is now being extended; just keep all your sale paperwork in the glove box just in case you are pulled over.
