    I appreciate that, thanks.

I thought so too, but all the dealers want to "include it in their deals". I spent about an hour in a local dealer with the exact same truck on the lot, $41,008 MSRP. That dealer wouldn't budge lower than $37,450 and proceeded to laugh at me when I told them about what I'm seeing online for deals people are getting. Quoting them, "those guys are lying about their deals". I offered them $38k OTD, and they just said they couldn't do it. My wife and I ended up walking out. The truck has been on their lot for 3 months. I'd imagine they wanted to get rid of it but I guess not.

As I understand it, Toyota corporation gives the dealers back the $1750 as well as the $500 military rebate. So it’s not like it’s costing them anything to discount the truck $500 for the military rebate.

I picked up a 2020 TRD 4x4 Sport, came with Navigation CarPlay (which honestly added about $1,500 to the price), heated seats, and a few extra features for $38,000 out the door. Sticker price 43,000 plus tax was about 46,000 (just rounding number of course). Originally wanted a 4x4 Offroad but was no where to be found in my area. Because of covid19 factory’s are closed and Tacoma are not being produced at this time. But I was able to use my buddies Employee discount.

I had gone to another dealer where they wouldn’t budge from 46,000 at all!!!!

That is almost the exact sales price I got at the end of April. It was the best I could do at that time. I think that is a very good price.

Thanks for the intel! Did you end up going with the rebate, the 0% APR, or another avenue?

I went with the 0% APR. When you do the math out, there is a point when the rebate is better depending on how much you put down and the APR. For me, 0% was the way to go.

I got a 2020 trd off road with a msrp of 44400 and out the door I got it for 44100. I was able to get them down to invoice pricing and got the 1750 in rebates.

For that price they better add air conditioned front and rear seats. That would be nice especially for those of us in AZ.

    2020 Tacoma TRD PRO
Hey all, I finally got my Taco! Her name is Sheila. 2020 TRD PRO. MSRP $47,800. I did ALOT of searching and found one online for $44,700. My local dealer had one almost identical, but wasn’t advertised as a reduced price. I offered them $43,500, and they told me the best they could do was $1500 off MSRP. I asked if that was the best they could do, and they said “yes, and that is an olive branch I’m extending to you”. The Pros are harder to find for a deal, but I knew I could do better so I said no and walked. Oftentimes dealers won’t mark them down AT ALL because they are limited supply. The next morning they texted me saying they could do $2000 off now. I still declined. And told them I found one for $44,700 and was leaving next day to go buy it. The sales rep said “you didn’t accept our last offer, but come inside and show your offer from the other dealer to my boss that’s how it works. I did so, and got it for the price from the other guy. I got it for $44,700. The fees were minimal. The doc fee was a little high at $600, but tolerable. Besides that all I paid was taxes($2300ish) and the tag fee of like $14. So Otd I paid about $48,000. Best lesson I learned, walk out. They offered $500 more off the next morning just because I walked. Good luck guys, hope this helps, and thanks for the advice so far. Time to start adding mods to it!

Well it came with a nice leather pouch for the owners manual, so I’d call it worth the money haha

Doc Fee/Closing Fee. $450-590 is the range for the majority of dealerships around.

Sounds about right, my doc fee was $600 and it was state mandated and non-negotiable

You can nagotiate them, but generally $300 is on the low side, and $600 is starting the high side. But you can’t get them pulled off entirely. I watched a YouTube video where Salesman explained it all.

Are sports even priced that high? Sounds like PRO territory, someone correct me if I'm wrong
