I've been to two different dealerships in SoCal area that have a DCSB 4x4 Off-road and neither would take a dollar off MSRP. Both acted like they were doing me a favor selling it to me at msrp. One of the trucks had the premium package (leather seats) and i was quoted about $51k w/TTL and i about fell on the floor laughing. I didn't know leather seats were valued at $10k.

Anybody have a dealership they recommend in the Los Angeles area that can make a decent deal? I'd like to get roughly 8-10% off MSRP so i can sleep at night and know i didn't get bent over for this dam truck.

MSRP-selling price before tax tag fees=discount
    Pre Corona factory shutdown:
    10%=good
    13%=great
    15%+=anomaly
    Post Corona shutdown ~1-2% less

I would think after 1-2 months you’ll see things get back to the normal pricing structure. At that point you’ll get rid of all the people like me that ordered during the shut down who are sucking up the new inventory. Even though sales people will still use that excuse for 4 months.

I hope you are right and that the excuse don't last that long on the sales floor. In 4 months 2021 models should be about hitting lots. There is seriously not many on local dealers lots. I did a search this morning. Looking for an SR5 4x4. Very few out there some dealers only having sports on hand. I will just save more until the supply changes to more normal levels.

that's a problem with a lot of options, they bundle them so you can't buy a la carte. if you want leather seats you're also buying the moonroof and everything else that's part of the package. personally, i hate cloth seats but i don't want to pay for all the other crap and i don't want to give up the headroom that you lose with a moonroof.

In Southeast Toyota region you can’t get LED headlights without a $4K package. Really annoying especially because it’s not like that everywhere else.

that sucks. LED headlights is about the only factory option (on a Sport) that i'd want to pay for. but not for $4k. i'm willing to pay for aftermarket vinyl or leather seat covers, but the aftermarket LEDs don't really seem like a great deal.

Yeah, especially because they’re only a $485 upgrade

Is that on all trims or only TRD trims?

I guess not. Didn’t realize that. At least not an option on the Toyota build site.

I seen it was at $485 on a TRD OR not on lower trims on the Toyota site. The aftermarket options look pretty much bad accept the Morimoto ones look nice but at $1200 + $170 to add the led fogs.

Toyota's site only lets you build what is slated for production in the next 60 days or so but I have seen the LED's available without the premium package earlier when I was looking but I was looking at the manual trans trucks so that could make a difference

Before I pick mine up from the dealership, the local car audio place is going to install LED projector bulbs from AIS lighting. $200. Apparently a new product. Previously there were no bulbs that could be put into halogen projectors. Not really sure. We’ll see

I didn’t realize that about the website only letting you build what’s available in the near future. Yeah they do still have the LED headlights for the TRDs but not the SR5s.

I’ve had to have a dealer order an Off-Road 6MT with just LEDs and Tech package. Couldn’t find LEDs without premium, and almost nothing in 6MT. They agreed to $1500 under invoice, minus whatever incentives are available (if any) when it comes in. Not sure if it’ll be a 2020 or 2021 yet.
