Finally joined the forum after pulling the trigger yesterday..

2020 TRD Sport, DCSB in cement. $35K before TTL, came to roughly $38.5K OTD.

I avoided most options, all I really wanted was the tonneau cover and blackout package. After one day of driving, I already love the thing.

Yes, you pay the tax for the county you live in. I live in Calif. bought my truck in Oregon, still paid Calif. taxes.

    A few.
I would be telling them to delete that $1200 window tint package.

I was going to ask what that was. Plus the windows don't look tinted up front.

Do everything in your power to have that thing totalled. You don't want to ride around in a diminished value, heavily repaired vehicle.

It was totalled, she took one look at it driving up and said it would be.

Now I just need to get a fair value at settlement. The first offer was a bit low

In my opinion, this is one of the few times where a GOOD insurance company really comes through. I have GEICO now, and while they've been great for making changes, adding/removing vehicles, I've personally seen them nickel and dime other things like rental, agreed value and so forth. When I had Amica, my BMW 550i got totaled and they gave me KBB excellent condition value no questions asked. Unfortunately, their premiums are just too high compared to GEICO so I switched, playing the percentages that the chance of a total loss is so low, I'm willing to give up the Amica service for the GEICO low prices. The insurance business is a horrible, horrible industry.
