What is interesting is that appear to be plenty (well, plenty may not be the right word) of Tacomas in NY, NJ and CT for people looking to travel and pick up. Not super feasible for the good folks in the West but they are out there.

Yes, very interested to see what they do with the Bronco. Seems like now that Ford really only wants to be a Truck / SUV company they are targeting growth by pointing at Toyota (Tacoma / Tundra) and Jeep. The Ranger, despite what people feel about it, seems to be working for them. They haven't hit their numbers but they started slow, have picked up and then Covid -- so they don't know what they have. If they can hammer Jeep a bit and steal share that will be good for them. I don't drive a Ford but really want them to do well.

Having driven the last four years in an SR5, I would say that the ride in an OR is way smoother. You feel little bumps in the road way less. Even my wife noticed the first day.

We’ve been at dealerships the past few days, between the sale of my truck and also shopping for a Camry for my wife. They’ve been getting new inventory. To the point where they’re not even sure whats on their lots. Not sure how many Tacomas but vehicles are coming in

I found this to be true as well, no question. But my plan was to get the SR5 and put Bilsteins on the front and back and call it a day. Would that make it a complete off road warrior? No. But for the kind of driving and use I do it would have been more than sufficient. My 2005 SR5 had a lift kit (I didn't put it on), Bilsteins and Nitto tires. For me, that truck never found a situation it couldn't handle. I was okay with the bumpy ride. Couldn't find an SR5 and went with the TRD OR. Love the smooth ride, I have to say. Can't argue there. But would have been fine with the SR5. The TRD OR is probably more off road capability than I need.

Yeah, not to say that the SR5 is rough or anything. It’s a truck, its just noticeable where I didn’t think it would be noticeable at all

Totally ! I'll give it some time but I think I might get one. My challenge is being overwhelmed by the choices and which ones. Would be cool if two years down the road Toyota came back with a Jeep / Bronco killer based on the original FJ. That would be some serious competition.

When I was researching my SR model in MA none of the dealerships in my area had the v6 model. Looks like inventory was pretty low in the NE area and now they are slowly coming in.

But none of the ones gave me more than 5% off MSRP, its crazy.

I commute to the San Diego area for work. I see a few trucks almost daily carrying new Tacomas to dealerships from Baja. They’re cranking out sports and OR from what I see.

Wow. I would just wait it out if you can. I bought my 2020 SR5 DCSB V6 with a bunch of options in early May for $33K + TTL. They also gave me an additional $1K for my trade in after I hemmed and hawed.

$36.7K is kind of absurd for an SR5

that dealer has not called me back or responded to my message asking for the best price so far today. I agree that's a lot. I'm going to keep looking around for better but honestly think mid to late august might be better. if not september or when 21's come out. I 33K seems more fair

I would suggest an SR when equipped with the SX pkg the main difference between SR and SR5 is the power seat and a few thousand dollars.

I may be wrong but isn't there a little more difference than just a power seat between an SR and an SR5? And is the power seat standard on the SR5? Honestly I'm unsure. But I am pretty sure that those SX packages are Dealer or Regional packages and not true Toyota packages. So in the real world they add no resale value to the truck.

Well for the first time in many months, the inventory on Sport AC's with a MT went up in the mid-Atlantic area.........by 1 truck.
