The rebate is already included, so its 8% with rebate. I'm in Chicagoland area, getting above 10% was months of negotiating prior to COVID even with slow / down sales back earlier this year and a few dealers never responding back. I managed 13% w/out the rebate in Late Feb, but like I said it was months of back and forth against dealers and a last minute end of month thing for my final deal.

St. Charles is garbage, they were the worst when it came to final price and customer service was sh*t too (they had initial best price quote, lowest trade offer, and then sold the truck I was test driving literally while I was sitting there working out the deal). Oakbrook was the best as far as pricing and customer service, I purchased my 19 from Elgin in November and got 13% off as well on a left over loaded sport ($43k MSRP, paid $37k), my 20 Naperville wanted the deal the most ($44.8k MSRP, paid $39k).

Inventory is low here, which is shocking cause Tacomas aren't really as popular here. But on an ordered truck you should be able to get 10%, I'd try Oakbrook or Naperville or Elgin Toyota unless you have loyalty to St.Charles.

Ah ... sorry I missed that. I thought it was 8% and then 10%. Misread that.

If I needed the truck -- or couldn't wait -- I would take 8% in this environment in a heartbeat. But I can't speak to the dealer obviously.

Agreed, dealers here are not negotiating on instock TRDs for less than MSRP and 8% isn't bad, 10% or better is hard to get here even in normal times.

Do you notice a lack of sound quality with Android Auto (AA) versus Bluetooth (BT)? This is my first vehicle with AA but when I plug in, I will be damned if the music sounds worse compared to BT.

I can listen to a song in BT, plug in for AA and the bass almost vanishes, unplug so BT kicks back in and my music becomes richer and fuller.

Seems to be a pretty common issue with AA through searching various forums (all cars so most likely and AA issue) so I am just curious!

You have to adjust the head unit equalizer, the settings are not universal when you set them, it will remember though for next time. Even so, I lean towards BT anywho sound wise. Are you a manual prem, if so non-JBL is pretty garbage to begin with (have had both), not that JBL is much better.

I tweaked a bit for BT, I assume it would save across the board but I will plug in AA and mess around!

I do not have the JBL system, I went with the TRD Off RD Premium! The Pro version was 'only' $10,000 more which, to me, was absolutely insane for a skid plate, few badge logo upgrades along with the stereo and LED lights.....I did want the LED lights but this was the only way to get them so I said nope!

You must have a manual then, because a TRD OR Premium would have JBL and you can get the LED headlights and Fogs on any TRD trim, it's a stand alone option. Of course if you are in Canada everything is different from US option wise.

Ahhhhh, makes so much more sense now, definitely the short end of the stick with options/configs, w/exception of being able to get a MT OR AC which we can't.

autotrader has one Voodoo blue with MT and it’s a sport. Only way I can get one is to order. Problem is all the local dealers won’t even work with me to do that.

dealers are being mighty funny currently due to the current supply of these trucks available. one guy from a dealership asked me via email "if i'd like to preorder" i asked him tell me more about pricing and what not. he just never bothers to respond back

Time to just not buy. Supplies will recover - and when the foreclosures start and rent forgiveness stops - deals will be had.....BIG TIME. GDP down 32% last qtr - bigger than the great depression. And a 2nd wave shutdown already starting. Only thing keeping things afloat is the "money" cannon from the Fed. Since its fake money, it won't last forever. Next year these dealers will be begging you to take them off their hands for 15% below MSRP, if not more.....Book it! Signed, Amateur Economist.

I would rather buy when I know my job is safe...even if it is expensive then buying it now. Not knowing how things will turn out and the DARN thing is already MARKED-UP. Unless the last Taco was rolling off the line, I really had to have car for work....so forth and so on.

I had my dealer place an order on an SR5 in quicksand a few days ago. He told me today toyota said they are canceling any new factory orders and mine didnt make the cut because it wasnt confirmed yet technically :( looks like ill be waiting for 2021s to come out. (Dealer also said 2021s wont have quicksand option, which i hope isnt true)
