i had an issue where a part had been recalled (and i missed the recall, but it came up later when i called honda corp about it) as it disabled my car, but honda still fixed the part n/c and paid for the wrecker service bill

 

I know Honda used to be up there with Toyota as far as quality and reliability, but I've heard they've fallen quite a bit and are targeting different demographics now. Quality is way down and they are pumping out cheap and less reliable cars with high interest rate loans and trying to get people in that way. At least I'm seeing their name being slung around in the mud more on car forums and subreddits lately it seems. Sounds like Hyundai actually might be moving up more to take its place.

 

to be clear the last honda i bought was that 2008 pilot brand new... i tend to buy cars and keep them for 200k+ before buying a new one. but have had several accords with great luck, so can't speak to the reliability of their cars lately. i wanted a truck (which may be my last new car i buy) and the only thing they had to offer was the ridgeline... my sister has owned 3 tacomas and that convinced me to switch over to the tacoma, among other things that the tacoma offered vs the ridgeline

 

Who did you work with at Kendall? I'm in Oregon and speaking with Kendall right now about a long bed. Any details about your purchase would be super helpful too!

 

I apologize for taking us slightly off topic here, so I will stop but have you seen the Genesis? The inside is gorgeous. Will look strongly at it when my other car gets replaced (if I can overcome my obsession with the new Bronco). And then there's the Telluride, which is a huge hit):

Yes the Kia Telluride and Hyundai version (Palisade?) have both been getting VERY good reviews. Near luxury levels of power and features for much lower price. If you can get past the name, which some people still look down on, they are extremely good value and warranty.

Genesis also been hearing good things about, but sad they are dropping their MT already.

Not exactly related or even direct competitors to Tacomas though, so we should probably get back on topic. =)

Not necessarily, I got away without one, you can adjust the caster with aftermarket UCAs before you need to start hacking, off course depending on wheel and your needs. My vote is some nice Volks or Works wheels if on a budget, SCS BR6s are sweet and still in stock (I think rays are overplayed), RRW has some nice options too. Reason for KO2's? Lots of other options out there I'd personally pick before KO2's after running them in the past.
