    Let me know and ill hook you up with him! best transaction i have ever done. walked it, test drive with my wife right away while they evaluated my trade. Came back, talked with another sales guy there that has a 2nd GEN decked out. Another fellow TW member for about 20 min chopping it up about mods.

    Went back in to the office. everything was priced just as we spoke about, no BS. Was out of there in 20 min. great experiences.

    Not sure if you are in TX but he is your guy if you want to make the trip or are close by! He found one at PORT for me and snagged it and got it shipped to his lot.

    let me know.

    basically none, lol. I mean i work with his wife and he is a friend (luckily) and she always tried to get me to go with him to get a new truck. After i told her my plans fell thru for that used one, i told her i would call him to see what he can do. after scouring all of TX basically for a new one, they were all over priced and carvana / carmax wanted 41-42k for a 2019 with these options / packages with 10-20k miles. And closer to full MSRP for a 2020. Wild

    After chatting with him i told him about the one i wanted and he found one at the port about to ship to another city with the same set up. once i committed to myself about getting new one i asked what is the best he can do and he thru the price at me. I was super happy with it and said lets do it. put down a deposit and had it shipped in 3 days.

    so it was seamless man luckily. i know peeps on here are putting in work with sales guys trying to rip heads off. 10% off msrp is good i guess. considering the situation.

    if you have a trade i would suggest getting a buy out quote from carvana and give the dealer the option to match it. doing so you get a tax break on you trade amount. works out

    Sorry new member here, not even sure I am posting my replies correctly. Newbie lol. I did not get the premium package. I did however get the tech package.would have loved to got the premium but that would have put that truck somewhere close to mid forties or higher.

    Thanks. I am in San Diego. Supply is super short here - there are literally no OFfroad DCLB with the Premium DCLB package, but surrounding counties seem to getting them. Am torn between trying to get one within 150 miles or simply wait for 2021's to come out and maybe supply will be better.

    I originally wanted Cement or VooDoo Blue. I really like white but I had a white Ranger in the late 90s/early 2000s and wanted to try a different color. So I am looking at white now, that is all surrounding counties have anyway. Which is fine. I think with the Off Road with the black fenders and a blackout package (either faftory or after market) they look really slick.

    Agreed I just wish I could have got that off road with a manual transmission Toyota unfortunately is not making manual transmissions in the long beds anymore at least not in my region. Still love the truck though.

    I agree, ill get rid of the chrome eventually 100%. get that black out or take off all the tags even. not sure yet. Chrome has always looked tacky to me.

    The White is amazing with the leather man. and the black fenders. go with it!

    Sadly 6MT has never been available with the dual cab long beds (DCLB), at least on 3rd Gens. Did they ever make them during 2nd Gen?

    I'm not sure when they were discontinued or on what generation of Tacoma to be honest but was told that they were manufactured with at one time. I enjoy driving manual transmission vehicles and had heard on other forums that the automatic transmissions in the later model tacomas would sometimes hunt for a gear depending on the driving condition. I personally have not had any problems with my automatic transmission on my 2020

    I bank with Arizona Federal in Arizona and they have a car member buying services that supposed to help you get your vehicle at wholesale prices. It is performed by a company called Centennial leasing and sales and the broker's name I dealt with was John Zambrowski. He was a breath of fresh air after dealing with car salesman at the Toyota dealerships.

    Related to this. Anyone here use the Costco buying program recently? I tried back in May and literally there was only one dealer in San Diego they referred me too who was accepting it. I emailed and called them and never got a call back. I was hesitant to drive down because of the Covid as places were by appointment only. And recently I read somewhere that a lot of the Costco programs were not being honored due to supply shortages.

    That sounds like my experience in Az. The first dealer that Costco referred me to said they would be discontinuing the Costco Auto Program in July, which they did but they offered to honor the Costco price for me through July. Unfortunately for me, they weren't too interested in my business since they had a buyer for each truck they had in inventory so they would not remove any of the bs dealer installs. Example, $699 for an alarm :confused:. Long story short we were about $3,000 away from what Costco price should have been so I was forced to pass and will not do business with that dealer any longer. Since then, Costco picked up another dealer in my area and I was able to negotiate on a truck that is yet to be built. Frustrating to say the least!

    I tried to use the Costco car buying program and never even got a quote return to me from the Toyota sales department and they knew who I was because I was coming at them each and every day for 4 months with different quotes through every possible program out there. I also tried through USAA Toyota dealerships were not interested in giving any discounts through any programs during the 4 months I was shopping. Interesting fact if you want to see a Toyota dealership manager lose it ask them for the invoice from Toyota for the truck they're selling you.
