Eyeing a TRD OR Long Bed with Tech, Premium, LED headlights, and all-weather mats in Cement. Great loadout, though I don't really care about Premium I do really want LED headlights and tech package, at least here in NC it seems the only way to get those is also get Premium. Anyways MSRP is $45,133 and they have offered $42,005. A little under 7% off, though that MSRP is inflated because of paint protection stuff etc. I'm really torn, going to try offered 10% discount and see, but at this price it almost seems worth it to sacrifice the long bed and get a Pro in Army Green for $3k more (there is a "barebones" Pro in Army Green for $45,xxx local). I guess I just can't get a handle on how expensive things are these days...

get the Long Bed, 100% worth it. That not a bad price and the premium package is super plush. I got that exact same set up but in white. And I payed 41k. I prob would of still got at it at 42k.

But dude I came from a 2ng GEN and the difference is crazy. The tech package with the premium sound system super nice, fell luxury for a truck. Plus the off road capabilities!! No brainer.

Once I noticed the wheel well super close to the cab on the short beds, something just looked off there. Can’t unsee it now.
Cement is a solid color and would be a great truck at 42. The Apple CarPlay, power seat and premium really tacks the driving experience to the next level.

    Hey all that read this,
This is my first post and 2 months late but I used this site and specific thread a lot so figured I'd post my info if it is helpful to anyone.

Purchased my 2020 TRD Sport 4x4 DCSB in May 2020 from a dealer in the southeast. Window sticker was $39,705 (truck + stupid Toyoguard + black stealth running boards + paint protection + USB package). Dealership added mats, bed mat, some other junk to push their price to just under 41,000. In all I paid $36,300 OTD broken down as selling price 35,000 + 500$ tax (Hoo-yah SC) + $500 closing fee + $100 for DMV stuff

Again, this was in late May and stuff has obviously changed since then. First time car buyer and lessons learned you've probably heard before: do your research (this thread is great), call around to any dealer you're willing to go to, be willing to walk out if they don't meet you on the price. Loved every minute with the truck since.

    Cheers

too many variables, trim, packages, colors, and also the short supply. Check NADA with the options to find the invoice of the vehicle. A good target is 10-14% msrp but with the supply being low and demand being high dealers will not budge on their inventory.

Def get the Pro. I haven’t driven in one but judging from the difference suspension makes going from an SR5 to a TRDOR as far as a smooth ride Totally worth it when you’re talking only $3k. Or, go the other direction. if you don’t care about the premium package just put the headlights on yourself after you buy it and skip the premium package save yourself $3300.
Yeah, that paint protection in Southeast Toyota Is a pain in the butt. I had them pull mine out of Port before they could put it on because I was putting on a ceramic coating anyway.

Yes, but I'm also going to be looking out of state myself because Cartelligent only operates with California dealerships

I’d say that right now with the supply being low because of the factory shut downs, you’re doing good if you get 7% off MSRP. So you should probably shoot for 9% off. Or better yet wait until things level out

If you come across any other brokers that deal in other states such as South Carolina, please send me a link. I’m interested in this for the future.

I was at the dealer today getting my 5,000 mile service and strolled out into the parking lot. When I bought my Tacoma on April 7th there was a large stock of Tacomas at that time and I was able to purchase my TRD OR with a healthy discount. Today there were absolutely no Tacoma TRD models of any sort, only 3 Access cab SR 4x2's, and 2 Tundras, one TSS, and one TRD Pro. I spoke with the salesperson I dealt with and she said that they were panic selling at the time I purchased, however, they are now at MRSP with factory incentives only for discounts and have a waiting list for buyers and only 3 TRD OR's coming in, and no Pros. Feeling very lucky I purchased when I did.

Any of you guys trading in your 16-19 Tacoma for a 2020? I’ve been eyeing an access cab but the MSRP is $41,700... Best trade in offer I got on my 2018 TRD OR DCSB was $31,250 from carvana and no dealers seem to want to honor that

Try Carvana. People seem to be getting $35,000 easy all day for 2018’s.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/carvana.678517/page-13#post-23961007
Or better yet, sell it private party. With demand being what it is I bet you it will be easy.

The window sticker said it was factory installed and not port, but they had it advertised at the dealer like you could have it added on there.

Hmm... first time I’ve seen this on a Tacoma.
Do you also have remote keyless entry with that whole passcode entry...?

Yeah it isn't a factory option, but looks to be specific to SET.
