What are you paying for 2020 Tacomas?

Hey guys, new member here. I’ve been lurking for a bit and got some great info from this thread, which helped me get the best deal possible. I live in SoCal but with this crazy market, I decided to look out of town and landed this deal in Yuma, AZ;

Did the dealership collect tax and fees or did you pay after you got the truck back and registered it in SoCal?

 

The dealership collected taxes and fees. They will process CA DMV. They had me stop at a Smog Shop in El Centro, CA on my way home (no additional cost to me) to get the truck smog tested. I drove home with an AZ 90 day non-resident temp tag.

 

That's awesome. Usually out of state dealerships don't want to mess with the tax/title/license because it's a hassle for them, and the if they don't collect the correct amount, the buyer gets assessed a secondary fee which usually leads to an angry phone call from the buyer. That dealer might be a good alternative to call of the SoCal dealerships that aren't budging on prices.

I have a deposit on a truck in AZ, I will see if this can be done for me too.

 

Right! I can't remember how many times I stressed that to both the sales rep and the finance guy. They told me that them being right next to the CA state line, they do this all the time. I'm hoping I don't get any surprises when I get my paperwork and plates in the mail.

Did you not end up snagging that one in AZ? Or is that the build that you submitted to the factory through the AZ dealership

 

Purchased my 2020 SR 4WD SCSB from the dealer for $29K including TTL.

Yeah, they helped me out by identifying a vehicle in their allocated upcoming inventory that matched what I wanted.

The vehicle had a build date of August 13, they expect it to be available the end of the month.

Love it. Thanks for asking. It is fully loaded from the factory. Finding out more about the options. Just found out it had Remote start. It drives so nice with the ADS Suspension. Went to the original installers yesterday (CaliRaised in Buena Park) to see about raising the front end to fit 285/70 R17. It has the original UCA because previous owner only went 2", so i will need an aftermarket UCA to go 3". I was thinking of SPC at first because of their adjustability, but i'm open to others. I called ADS in arizona about weather i can adjust the height w/o taking the Coilovers off. Expecting a call back on that.

Looking at these wheels from FN wheels in Blue. Co is in Corona, Waiting on a call back from them. Everybody is busy today ! Go to decide on tires also - 285/70 R17 - Brand - BFG, Toyo, Falkens ?
I saw a post about FN wheels with a name of Dustin. I called and left a message.
