No way man. Nitrogen is the way to go. It’s scientifically proven to increase horsepower by making the truck lighter. University of Phoenix study.

29480 for a sr5 access cab 4 cylinder a good deal? OTD includes all taxes tags fees, etc

Really need to know the sale price. OTD is hard to judge on because some states are 0% taxes, some are 10% or more! So that could be a big swing in pricing.

What about cab/bed options (dual cab short box?) and any other options? Looks like the 4cyl only comes in 2WD so I'm guessing that is what you are looking at?

Any other dealer add-ons they are trying to stick you with? Step bars, paint protection, nitrogen-filled tires?

So running a 2020 SR5 AC 4cyl 2WD, with no other options or add-ons, through the Toyota build tool gives me an MSRP of about $29K (includes the $1175 delivery fee). Given that, with a sale price of $26.7K you are at about 9.2% off. Getting close to 10% off is pretty standard, so I think you are doing pretty good there, especially given the shortage of trucks (though the demand for a base SR5 is probably not as high as a TRD trim might be).

You might be able to squeeze a bit more out of it, but overall that isn't a bad price if it is what you want!

Yeah if you aren't in a rush, I think waiting is a good idea, for anyone really. But especially with a base model truck, it would probably have more wiggle room and discount when inventory is back to more normal levels.

Pretty sure you won’t have any issues sans locker. I have the MT Sport and my “getting out” habits resemble yours. My camping trips definitely take me of the beaten path and on some questionable “roads”. You’ll be fine.

You got a great deal. Cheers. I searched for 400 miles around Vermont and only one dealership had what I wanted coming in. I don’t have much leverage. But I could be paying $5k above MSRP like some o_O

Just wanted to thank Rod03 for a quick and easy sale yesterday evening. I’m the owner of this new AG Pro and couldn’t be happier. If you’re near Indiana and need a good honest salesman, go see Rigo!

A couple months ago would be right on the border Of when the Corona factory shutdown low supply kicked in and thus drastic increase in prices.

I don't know if anyone is interested. But there's a 2020 Army Green Pro sitting on the lot at Vann York Toyota in High Point NC. I just saw it about 10 minutes ago. I checked their website and it shows in inventory.

I like the template! Some fine tuning on a couple things, but I think we should post it any time some person puts a random post up with just their OTD price, or obviously missing needed info. Look at below and see if you think that clarifies a few things. #7 and #9 I redid the equation to get % off, otherwise I think with what you have you'd end up with something like 90% rather than the 10% we usually say.

We need this info to be able to evaluate a price and be helpful to this thread. Thank you for assisting others in the TacomaWorld community with their purchase!
    1. Year, color, trim (SR, SR5, Sport, Off-Road, Limited, Pro), cab & bed config (DCSB, DCLB, or ACLB), engine (V6 or I4), transmission (AT or MT), 2WD or 4WD
    2. Factory options and packages (Premium, Technology or Advanced Technology, LED, Dynamic NAV, tonneau, etc.)
    3. MSRP, based off Toyota build tool and/or dealer build sheet, including Delivery Fee, WITHOUT accessories or add-ons
    4. Port options and dealer add-ons (floor mats, door sill protectors, step bars, tint, etc.) with their cost, including "market adjustments" if added
    5. Total listed retail price (basically what is on the Monroney sticker), should be basically the same as #3 + #4
    6. Offered/negotiated price including all the above and BEFORE tax, title, and license (TTL), also WITHOUT rebate or incentives
    7. Discount -- ((#5 - #6) / #5) * 100 = % off MSRP
    8. Incentive/rebate and, if taking it, which one ($1000 customer cash, 1.9% APR over 60 months, etc.)
    9. Discount after rebate if taking customer cash -- ((#5 - (#6 - #8)) / #5) * 100 = % off with cash rebate
    10. If trading in as part of deal -- trade in vehicle info, KBB estimated trade-in value (NOT private party), and actual value/allowance if they have already offered
    11. State sales tax (which state and what is the sales tax %?, also keep in mind some states subtract trade-in value from sale price when calculating the sales tax), dealer fees, TTL, trade-in allowance, etc.
    12. OTD price = Negotiated price #6 - customer cash (if taking) #8 - trade-in value #10 + TTL, fees, etc. #11 = should be what you expect to pay total
    13. If already bought -- when and where?
    Maybe also include an example?

    Example:
    1. 2020 Cement Off-Road DCSB V6 6MT 4x4
    2. Premium, Advanced Technology, LED
    3. MSRP including delivery $42,310
    4. all weather floor mats $125 + door sill protectors $75 = total add-ons $200
    5. MSRP 42,310 + add-ons $200 = retail price $42,510
    6. Negotiated price $39,500
    7. ((42,510 - 39,500) / 42,510) * 100 = 7.1% off
    8. taking $1000 customer cash rebate
    9. ((42,510 - (39,500 - 1,000)) / 42,510) * 100 = 9.4% off with rebate
    10. trade-in -- 2019 Cement Sport DCSB V6 6MT 4x4 with Premium and Technology packages and tonneau, offered $33,000
    11. MN 7% vehicle tax (price 39,500 - trade-in 33,000) * 0.07 = $455, TTL $542.50, Doc admin fee $125
    12. example without trade-in -- price 39,500 - rebate 1,000 - trade-in $0 + tax $2765 + TTL $543 + fees $125 = OTD $41,933
      example with trade-in -- price 39,500 - rebate 1,000 - trade-in 33,000 + tax $455 + TTL $543 + fees $125 = OTD $6,623
    13. Still shopping!
