Not sure where you guys are at but there a no tacomas on the lots in my region. Most are pre-sold, so when they do come in they get a sold sign... I certainly don't see the inventory rising yet.
Hoping my 2020 shows up this weekend, but they're still saying can't double up cash & rate.

that dealer processing charge $500, is that something that you can try to negotiate or ask to be taken out?

I see more trucks as inventory I have no idea if they are sold, or have a buyer waiting for them. I'm seeing 2020s in stock and 21s on the way in. Unless Toyota halts production I see inventory on the rise. Compare that to the current economic outlook, I don't see people buying. I'm only looking regional, so that might not be everywhere.

makes me rethink the 2020 I have on reserve that I got 7% off MSRP....

In a normal market or even a buyers market, what kind of % off MSRP is normal?

Anything is negotiable especially a dealer fee that is "Not required by law". The question is, will you try to negotiate one, and two will the dealer negotiate with you??? I'm old school in that...the only way to find out, is to try and see what happens.

I don't know I'd like to get between 3 or 4K off of MSRP that would depend on which trim. I think the lower trim trucks would garner the better deal.

Easily doable, I would say. I bought my 2018 loaded 4x4 ORDC for $5k off window sticker. Just got to put a few competing dealers against each other.

I'm in Ohio. Dealers in my area have SR's available and some SR5's, but very limited supply of off road and sports.

Normally 10% off MSRP would be a good deal

Sure, everything is negotiable. But what they give you with one hand, they take back with the other so I keep on eye on the final OTD. Btw, my trade in (for $250) was a 14 year old Civic, 200K miles and a cracked engine block. Man, I loved that car...

Ok so sounds like I’m paying about $1200 off from what would be a good deal during “normal” years

What is that total credit $1250? did they give you some extra credit?

I hope i can trade in my 07 pilot with 175K. it has some issue on the engine, and possible some other issues. I am not in rush to get a new taco yet as every toyota dealer around my local area are out of 2020 and no 2021 yet. price is still very high.

That's $1,000 Toyota Cash Back plus $250 trade-in allowance. That's on top of the base MSRP discount. These itemizations are intentionally difficult to understand and should be a crime. They're made to confuse...

At the end of May I bought my 2020 sport. Went through USAA car buying service and got $3000 off sticker. Took advantage of the 0% for 60 months finance through Toyota. Another dealer I went to first didn’t want to play ball. Was discounting about $1500 and wouldn’t even consider KBB trade in value on my trade. It pays to shop around.
