What are you paying for 2020 Tacomas?

I made a sizable down payment, but financed about 75%.

 

Anyone trying to buy a tacoma in Tennesse? When I use the website to build one it shows "exact match" but doesn't say what dealership its at. Then when I message the dealerships in the area they don't have anything like that.

 

If you can retrieve the VIN, just run it through a Google search.

 

Hi all. First post here. I have been looking for a specific build Tacoma. 2020+ Tacoma TRD OR automatic, cement gray, premium package. Toyotas seem to be tough because people are putting deposits before they arrive. Today was a busy Saturday with most people putting deposits to hold the car. Toyota can't provide enough supply.

The dealer did an inventory check and came up with 3 within 300 miles. I chose the 2021. The total price with $1175 fee was $44871 and I was able to get 6% off. I started at 10%, he came back with 5.5% and I told him 6%. I don't think I did great because the fee is high, but if they can get the truck here, then I guess it saves me from working with a dealer 3 hours away.

I noticed before that the build doesn't come with LED headlights. I'm going to call tomorrow and see if they can get me some things at cost so I can install by myself.

Getting out with MSRP was good enough for me with how hard it is/was to get ahold of an AG pro this late in the year & with covid. Absolutely no wiggle room when the dealer here in Georgia is getting calls from California asking for a dealer trade.

 

If the salesman says that he can get them for you at cost be sure to get an exact dollar amount. my salesman was telling me he could give me parts at cost which was MSRP. He wasn’t going to tack on the normal 25% or whatever on top of MSRP. I do believe that they actually are not allowed to get parts from the part department without paying full price. Parts and sales are like two completely separate departments that are somewhat in competition with each other I think or something like that.

 

End of August, I purchased a 2020 TRD Off Road Double Cab Long Bed with LED lights, bed lights, running boards/nerf bars (5" 0val), door & sill protection, all weather floor mats, mud flaps and a few other smaller OEM things the dealer put on, for 40K out the door, including T.T.L. Great service from a Toyota dealer in Lexington KY, a 5 hour drive from where I live, but worth the trip. I searched for four months before I found what I wanted, as there weren't that many trucks available configured like the one I purchased. I didn't feel "abused" after signing the papers at the dealer, so that was an "emotional bonus", as well. All of the extras were things I was going to add to the Tacoma had I bought it without them, except for the nerf bars: I am going to sell those on Craigs List, and get rock sliders. I figured that I saved the time and money having the truck come as it did.

May I ask how many miles on your 2017 and how much you paid for it originally?

 

Financed my 2017 for $36k, and I had just under 26k miles on it when I traded.

 

I assume you're searching under your zipcode. The dealer with the match should be the one to contact you. They most likely already sold it.

 

the MSRP is 52k and your OTD is 40K.

How did you get the 12K lower? that is crazy.

that is nice to see Tacoma is holding so strong on resale value.

I am in Canada but converted all the dollar amounts for you Yankees. I feel I did alright, what do you guys think? Out the door for $51,000 CAD. ($38,038 USD)

 

My local dealer just got a 2020 MGM TRD OR DCLB with tech package, predator bars, but minus the LED headlights.
MSRP: 43,334 and they aren't coming down at all.

I've been debating upgrading my 2014, but may hold out longer. I feel like in about 5-6 months inventory will be back up and the dealership will be more likely to give me this exact vehicle for 40 OTD.

 

Was this a TRD sport w/ premium package? also which province did you purchase?

 

TRD Sport without Premium. I'm not a fan of leather.

Purchased in Alberta. I'm from BC, dealers in BC couldn't come close to this price. They were about $4500 off. Market in BC must be a lot stronger

I should also mention this price includes GST and PST. About a 3500 dollar difference in tax if your from Alberta. Would be 47K OTD to a Alberta resident

 

Ok, I purchased one as well and took delivery of it couple of days ago in Alberta. Paid 51,200 (CAD) OTD for TRD sport w/ premium package DCLB, full 3m paint protection, undercoating, door sill protectors, LED interior light package. I got a bedmat discount.

Wasn't sure if i got a decent deal or not but there are not a lot tacomas around these parts it seems.
