Finding a 2020 Pro for under MSRP will be tough to find in SoCal. The vehicle is currently in high demand, especially in AG.

thought I saw a thread here someone in so cal (maybe nor cal which i don't mind) that got it under MSRP. I may have seen it in another thread.

BTW - Not really a huge fan of AG actually. don't see myself driving that for several years i know i'll get sick of that.

I'm leasing, so sales tax is per-payment for those types that want an "out the door" price.

$41069 for Off-road double cab short bed. Premium package with MTM (advanced tech package) and automatic transmission. Only extra was the all weather mat package. Most dealers I was in contact with were coming within this ballpark. Probably could’ve come down more if I waited but didn’t want to... haha

    Good Day Gents/Gals,

I'm brand new to the forum. I just took the plunge on a 2020, TRD OR, 4x4, Double Cab, 5' bed, MT Tacoma. Looking for opinions with respect to how I fared on the negotiated price.

    MSRP $37,768, which includes Tonneau ($650), mats&sill ($248) & Blackout Kit ($415)
I paid: $34,392 + TTL, paid price includes dealer's fees.
    Ratio: 8.94% off MSRP

I worked pretty hard on the price over three visits and multiple phone calls and emails with the dealership here in Illinois.

Note 1: I paid cash. No trade in. No finance.
Note 2: blackout kit is being added in the service shop not at the factory, thus the small variance ($415) in MSRP figures listed above ($37,768) vs. attached sales receipt ($37,353).

Please let me know, even if it's bad news.

    Thanks.

If you can wait a year, theyll probably discount them. Anything on the lot now will probably have markup, anything that is ordered will be at msrp, and unless you are the managers own kid, or have a special program through toyota, msrp is about where youll get them. Just make sure you dont get any accesspries at the dealer and youll be a few hundred ahead of most.

In my opinion that’s pretty good. I think a really good deal is between 10-12% off MSRP, but you’re very close to that number. Congrats on getting an awesome truck for a great deal! Double congrats for paying cash!

Anyone have any luck getting a 2020 pro under MSRP? Might just go with the OR route since I can get about 10% off MSRP....

Can probably beat my deal by 2K on a 19 now if you can find one....but won't find an M\T likely......though I could have gotten same truck in an A\T for 35.7

I am assuming you meant 12/22/18 or you are from the future...

As for the increase, I never bought a Tacoma prior to this due to the seat.. and recently due to no carplay. Those two are the only reason I even looked at the 2020.

    power seat!
I’m kind of serious, it’s the most important feature for my wife, since she is on the “short side”. 37.7k is a decent deal though for what you've got. I need a AT so I think I’m look it around $2k more for a 2020 in a AT configuration.

    Seems high. I got my 2020 SR 4x4 4door V6 for $31,100 plus tax & destination fee.

    It's 90% of a trd pro for $18,000. less.

Power seat can’t be stressed enough. It makes it a whole different truck. In my humble opinion the 2020 with a premium package really does feel like a premium truck. Compared to the my17 I traded in there is no comparison. Everything about it seems more refined if only ever so slightly.

Purchased a 2020 Sand DCLB TRD OR yesterday for $37,500. Sticker was $41,700. 6’4” and finally fit in a taco where someone can sit behind me. Happy they added a power seat, being able to lower the seat makes all the difference. Hoping I got a good deal. If not, I left the dealer saving over 10% off sticker before TTL which always makes me feel good at least. Came with predator bars and floormats at no cost.

10% off the window sticker is a good deal, congrats!
