Just for the hell of it I called Alexander Toyota in Yuma. They said they did indeed have an Army Green Pro just come in. I said okay. What are you guys asking for it? His answer was over $60k before tax, title, license and other fees! But the biggest insult? He told me that everyone else is marking them up $10k and they are only marking them up $5k over sticker. I said "first of all nobody in Phoenix has them marked up 10k. And do you mean to tell me that truck's MSRP from the factory was above $55k? Does it have every single available accessory?"

I think you did ok. Just guessing here, but the package you listed is probably msrp $40k. Dealer added lift(maybe tires/wheels) $2500-$3k. 10 year warranty about $3k. So by my math your deal was actually less than msrp. TTL is a bitch. Enjoy the truck.

Not even close. You’re be lucky to get out of cloth seats for that price.

I find this hard to believe.

Hear you on that! We are thinking Charlotte NC in the near future. Just can't swallow the taxes anymore here. Real shame.

    I just picked up a 2020 trd off-road dcsb 4x4. Msrp was $40156. Got it for $36305 plus tax,title
Not the best deal but pretty good considering there are a ton of 19’s to unload out here in Phoenix

That’s a great discount considering 2020’s just landed at the dealerships. Did you get the LED headlight option?

Yeah, I'd pick that up, you won't regret it. The SR5 is nice but there's somethings I wish I had. you should be able to talk them down to 36ish

Verbally, from my dealer who is well respected here in the Northeast, my 2020 OR DCSB 6 MT Cement 4x4 is coming my way for $300 over invoice or if you wish to back into it roughly 5% below MSRP. I felt like it was a solid deal and I'm not going be a dick and waste my time haggling over a couple of bucks. Most importantly I wanted the thing ordered and allocated and delivered ASAP.

Right 'only buy if you can afford it in cash'. Maybe if rates are stupidly high, but its still cheap to borrow money, thus keeping liquidity in your bank account and not allocating $40k to a depreciating asset - that's just bad investing.

At the end of the day,as long as you're happy and can afford the payments,DO IT. Everything else is hearsay.

I picked up my 19 OR with Premium/Tech a little over a week ago..was $38k OTD,BUT because I was trading in a 2013 Frontier SV 2WD that had 87xxx miles on it..I went upside down. They have horrendous resale value and since it wasn't a 4WD,I took a bit of a hit. But it wasn't going to get any better, and I got all of the warranties and paint protection packages added on. Came to about $44k after everything.

I love it,will have it until the wheels fall off..which really won't ever happen lol

Hey all, been reading the forums for the past year and have been interested in a Tacoma for quite some time. Held off on the 19s and waited for the 20s. Just put a deposit down on a black 2020 TRD Pro. Got $1,000 off MSRP and felt good about that. Worked with Summit Toyota of Akron. I was told it would arrive around Thanksgiving or earlier. Excited to dive into my first new vehicle ever.

Do your research (NADA.com, etc.) to find the invoice price and MSRP. The numbers are usually fairly accurate. I take the invoice price and add $500. My '17 sr5 dlbcab V-6 2wd had MSRP of $32,935. Paid $30,250 plus tax, title, license. Oh yea and no dealer adds..

There seem to be a few wonky numbers being kicked around here. Just so we’re all clear, OTD means-Out The Door.

That includes all tax, title, license, extra warranty, dealer add ons and doc fees.

Given the wide range of tax rates and fees it not really an accurate representation of what one paid for a truck. The best apples to apples comparison would be the negotiated price before all taxes and fees.

So that falls under lucky because you got leather seats. But I don’t know how your vehicle taxes work up there so maybe that’s a good deal. I don’t know. You do the math.
Ouch. $6k upside down on a truck that retails for around $15k. I can’t say I’ve ever been that far in the hole but being upside down is no fun.

It was actually $3k. Still owed about $12,900 for it,had it 3 years. The rest was the protection packages I got, which was actually discounted because the woman had a son that was transferring to my Dept,so she made sure to take care of me. I'm not too mad,I would always be upside down on the truck,so I figured I might as well swallow the chunk and move on lol

Bought my 2019 TRD OR DCLB in July with Tech / Premium package, auto start, tinted front windows, extended warranty, tax title license for 39K (that's everything without fudging the numbers lol). I'm sure since they are trying to clear the 2019's off the lot they will sell for much cheaper than i paid. I like the new features on the 2020 like the adjustable driver seat, LED headlights, the cameras, and the Android auto / Apple car play. With that being said, pay what you want for the 2020 and enjoy your new truck. I just don't know if i can pay 50k lol.
