    Msrp 33683
Price after dealer incentives and haggling: 29,377, not including taxes (got them to throw in a free bed mat as well)
Their processing fee is 799 and the tag fees are estimated to be about 450 and ill get whatever is left if they have over estimated. Theyre also giving me middle of the road trade in value on my 2016 ram 1500.
What do yall think of this deal????

I don't know where you live, maybe fees are commonly that high, but those fees alone would make me walk. In Ohio dealer fees are capped at $250 and I think even that is too much.

These prices really aren’t insane. I paid $42,800 for my 19 Pro with 2 miles on it. After adding extended warranty , wheel/tire coverage to lower my interest rate plus TTL........... It was about $50k OTD. All cars and trucks have gotten crazy in price over the years. All the tech and nanny stuff is a big reason why everything is so expensive. The cheapest newer vehicle I own is a Harley. Hell, it was $24k for a damn bike. Lolol

So, Should I be shooting for 10-12% off before rebates and incentives or after?

    Okay went with off road.

DC sb off road no optional packages. No running boards. Has bed mat, door sill and all weather, and midguards. I'd prefer without those but they're relatively cheap and useful, so I can live with them.

Dealer transfer have it at 36k plus TTL minus trade in. I have to pull numbers from true car and others to compare if it makes sense. Msrp is 38.5k plus 1k rebate right now. 10 percent off msrp would be 34.6.

Signed on the condition I can sleep on it, it's not final anyway its just for the dealer transfer. Wondering if it's worth it to try for more or if I'm hunting pennies at this point.

Right but 10 percent off msrp is there any basis to that? Can I actually get close to 34k or would I be at 35.7 for example, in which case that 300 argument is the "pennies" I'm talking about.

To some, when buying a new vehicle it is a game to them. They must think they got ever last single penny discount available or somehow they failed at buying the vehicle. Then it becomes a contest.. who was better at the game.. hence this forum thread. It is one of the new competitive sports coming in the next Olympics.

What timing - signed in to see if anyone had responded :D

Anyway, to me 2k is not a game. 100, 200, ya that's a game. I'm at 36, if I can get 35 (or hell, 34), that's not insignificant to me and that's worth doubling back on. With the bed mat/door sill/all weather/mudguards I have to think I have ~250-300 I can pull off and throw on eBay or something right off the bat, too. But, that's not my focus right now.

I do agree though, car sales isn't what it used to be. I have the internet, I can call 14 dealers within 5 minutes, true car connects me straight away, etc. etc. We all have the same resources as dealers do now, this isn't 1970 car sales.

I hear yeah, I was mostly referring to $300 difference.. that is Pennies on a $40k truck. But it is a game if you come on here to measure.... how "big" the difference is and how you stack with the others ;)

My purchasing game plan has always been simple. Find the car/truck online that you want and physically walk into the dealership, always in the evening, on the on the last day of the month. Sales associates are salivating to meet or exceed monthly sales goals set by the management leadership team and want to go home. Dealers are willing to make deals that they would normally reject just to meet sales targets.

With Toyota the fiscal end of the year is always the last day of March. This would be the optimal month to purchase that new Tacoma that you have been dreaming about.

Depends largely where you live, timing, and available inventory.

$39,767+TTL for TRD OR, cement, with premium, tech package, LED headlights, tailgate lock, and bed lights. I took the email approach.

After incentives, but before taxes and fees. Some people are getting over 12% off but it's pretty rare. It depends on demand for these trucks where you are, but I wouldn't accept anything less than 10% no matter what. However, you won't get that much off a TRD Pro, except maybe if it's a 2019. Don't worry about being greedy, as a previous comment said. The dealer isn't concerned about charging you too much and you shouldn't be concerned about offering too little. Get the very best deal you can, always!

I disagree. I suppose some people view negotiating as a game, but it's much simpler than that for me. I don't have money to waste, it's as simple as that. I will always seek to get the very lowest price I can when purchasing a vehicle. It's not about competition, it's about not wasting money that I can put to other use. Very simple.

Oh I have no problem getting the best deal I can. I was just offered this. Screen Shot 2019-12-16 at 8.34.20 PM.jpg

It has a tonneau cover, all weather floor mats black out kit, bed light and door edge guard. This is right at 12%. This is for a 2020 TRD Sport 4X4.

I agree, I negotiated when I got my truck. That statement was not for everyone.. it was for those that do take it acutely and spend more time squeezing every last nickle out.. those are the ones, whether they like to admit it or not do it for the game of it and then it is reinforced with threads like this to see who got the best deal.

But hey, obviously this is just my own opinion.. and you know what they say about peoples opinions....
