go to the prices paid forum, it does vary by region. Your price is too high. You can find the invoice price on car gurus and offer 1k below invoice price at a minimum.

Most 2020 buyers here are getting 10-12% off MSRP. Some better some worse. At 10-12% the sales price should be 33,750 to 34,500. I would offer them 33,500. They will counter.

Not a good price. Especially for 2wd.

People need to include if 4x4 or 4x2. Makes a big difference.

And which packages it includes. There is a huge cost variance between a loaded premium TRD OR vs a standard 4x4.

Or just show MSRP and sale price then the rest is irrelevant.

Not true. Dealers will budge more on certain colors, options and trims

I got a bare bones TRD Sport 4x4 with manual for 33 and change. The floor mats were free. (Quicksand)

    Hey guys,

New member, just brought home my first Tacoma after going “small-truck” via the Ridgeline for 6 months. Puke... Practical, but nothing else going for it. Super excited to have a real truck!

Got a DCSB TRD OR w/ Advanced Tech & Premium. In Indianapolis, MSRP was $44,902 and I paid $38,764. Asked for 12% off based on other deals I’ve seen on this thread and then did a “oh by the way I’ll finance somewhere else, I’d like the $750 rebate instead” towards the end of the deal. They added the $750 rebate to the 12%, and then the finance guy got me the same Toyota 60mos rate through US Bank.

Feel like I did pretty good!

Was the $38,764 before or after TTL?

Before, figured that would be easier for folks to compare in different states and with/without trades. $200 doc fee, but that was it.

Out the door numbers are useless since taxes and fees vary. You even gave real unrounded numbers, thanks!

I would aim to buy with the least amount of add ons possible, and install those yourself (tube steps, blackout package, etc). Look for 10-12% off MSRP would be where to aim as others have stated here.

Looking at a 2020 DCSB TRDOR 4X4. MSRP is $42,247. Best I could come up with is $38,783. I guess the incentives just aren't that great or I just need to negotiate more? I'm in the SoCal area.
