Looking for the actual deal, not a random quote. I’m looking for the proof some dealer sold you a truck with a discount of 6800-7200 off MSRP. They simply don’t discount 17%.

Until then, nobody is really going to believe you.

And trust me, it isn’t going to become mainstream that everyone is going to get 17-18% off MSRP.

Per Rick Harrison...is that actual listing or selling price? You can list it for anything.

Went by my local dealership this afternoon and test drove a 20 TRD OR SB Tech, Premium, Predator Steps, All weather mats, paint protection, etc BS. Quoted me $41,900. Way too high, told him so and he said he would work with me with the finance guys but I didn't have the patience this afternoon so I walked. Got nothing in writing, they seem hesitant to put anything in writing, probly cause they know I will use it to negotiate. He seemed fine with me walking, "Just let me know when you're ready". Must not be in need of a sale right now, I assume he will call when he does as he's called me a couple times. Think 12% is my magic number, and I mean 12% from the pre-dealer added BS. Do have to say the TRD OR XP Package 4runners had me doing a double take while I was there... kids would fit better too...

Yea, the dealers I dealt with seem like they are living off their year end Toyotathon commissions. They’ll be real hungry again about 3/20/2020. I’ll ignore them until then.

Long time lurker, first time poster. Just joined the forum since I put down a $500 deposit today on a 2020 Pro 6MT Army Green! aka the Unicorn (shoot, I should have chosen Unicorn for my TW handle). I will get this price confirmed tomorrow when the Inventory Manager is back and officially puts the order in, but they are giving me MSRP ($43,960). I am going to add a few options (bed lighting kit, bed step, power tailgate lock, tailgate insert) that will bring MSRP to $44,738. These prices are before fees and TTT. I live in northern VA BTW.

I either visited or talked to 3 different dealerships, all are saying the same thing for the Pros: nothing less than MSRP. The asst sales mgr where I ended up ordering from initially tried to tack on $2000 to the MSRP, at which point I started to put my coat on. Then the sales mgr came over and said they'd match MSRP, and that was that.

First though they tried to sell me a white 2019 Pro 6MT that they are "trying to get rid of." He wrote down $42k on a piece of paper (not sure what options it has, but safe to assume it has the Predator steps since all the ones I've seen have them for some reason). That's a solid deal but I really want the 20 for the power seat (I have to jack up the seat height for it to feel right) and the Google Play. Plus I have a major hard on for the army green.

It was also interesting, one of the trucks I test drove was an Off Road 6MT with the technology package that had an MSRP of $43k on the window sticker (internet price is $39,639). Have to say I was surprised how much I liked it and thought about it for a second, but I knew I'd spend the $4k in savings and then some to change the wheels, tires and suspension (I'm happy with the Pro setup, no plans to change it). So between that, the fact that any upgrades I would add wouldn't be covered under warranty, and the resale value of the Pros, I figured, what the hell, I'm 50, it's time to go for the brass ring. Plus the Pro has the skewp....I'm a sucker for those (and no I'm not a millennial, did I mention already that I'm 50? They say the first thing to go is memory, and I forget the second).

I did quite a bit of research and spent a lot of time on this forum to know that I wasn't going to get less than MSRP for a Pro. Once I made peace with that, it was just a matter of making sure they didn't try and pile on (which they tried). I printed out the pricing from the Toyota website builder and brought that with me. That was actually quite helpful to get them to stick to MSRP, they even made a copy of it to give to the Inventory Manager. We'll see how it plays out tomorrow....

Great choice and welcome to the club! I think AG goes into production again this month so your timing is perfect. The rumor is that they manufacture 3-pedal Tacoma’s in batches.

That would be sweet if it gets made this month. They said it could take up to 3 months, which I'm actually fine with (that's what I'm telling myself anyway). I have some things to take care of on my 06 Ridgeline anyway to get it ready to sell.

Edit: MSRP with the options I'm picking is $44,738, not $45,833 (the latter is MSRP with the delivery, processing and handling fee). I'll edit my post.

Picked up my first Tacoma last week at Mossy Toyota in San Diego. I ended up with a 2020 Toyota Tacoma, TRD OR, DC, SB, w/Tech Package for $38,500 out the door. I used the the Costco Auto buying program on a whim. I already been to 2 different dealership so I knew what the price points were and used that to negotiate.

Solid deal. There is a thread for 2019s you should post that there. This is for the 2020s, you’ll make everyone here too jealous with those low numbers

Every dealership near me has at least 30 tacomas on the lot. I'd guess they have some wiggle room. :tumbleweed:
