Corporate vehicles are usually beat to hell. Personally, I'd never buy a fleet vehicle of any kind. At the end of the day, this is all about preferences. You're not any smarter than anyone else just because you bought a used truck. People should spend their own money on whatever truck they prefer.

I said this later on and completely agree blow your money however you want to.
But like I said I research and mine wasn't a fleet vehicle, it was a runner.
I looked up the company and talked to who I needed to.
Typical small CO used it for errands for 6+ years then traded for new.
    6+ years only 48k miles.
People who assume are not to bright.
Try getting facts before you open your mouth, might make you look better:thumbsup:

Lol I agree with you that a 16k access cab is a good deal.

But you have an older car. I had a 2006 and sold it to get something new. The majority of us (95%) are paying less than 40k for the truck. There’s that 5% that are absolutely stupid and paying 50k.

All our Tacoma’s hold value well. A Tacoma with an MSRP of $40,000, bought for $35,000, with 50,000 miles on it sells for $30,000 used.

It’s not a pissing contest. But I’d rather have 1 new car vs. 2 old cars, but that’s just me.

    Sorry for shifting posts:(
    I will drink more beer:cheers:

I just feel bad that for the amount of money some spend, with a little work and effort you could have a kick-ass ride for alot less.

And I bet I could rig something up for your truck to give you a BJ for under 500$

24.5k for my 2006 TRD OR 4x4 DC with tow package and side curtains. Still have the sticker, MSRP was 26.9k. CPI inflation puts that MSRP at about 35k today, so not too far off considering it’s a more advanced truck.

2017 dcsbor with 28k miles and and camper shell bought for 29.9k on Monday.

A 2006 DCSB with 200k miles goes for $12k or more in my area. Would’ve loved to spend less but couldn’t justify it.

You're making way too many assumptions about other people based on your own personal preferences. Some people value creature comforts and others don't and it has little to do with how they use their trucks. My cousin use to have a Lexus LX SUV that cost WAY more than any Tacoma. He went camping every weekend in that thing. It's all about personal preferences. I know I say that all the time on this thread, but I get tired of people assuming that everyone should do things the way they do. It's absurd.

Just got my best quote yet from a slightly rural dealer about 45mins from me. '20 TRD-OR DCSB 4x4 in Cement with Tech and Premium and no add-ons. MSRP $43,080 and was just quoted $38,300 +TTL for a total of 11.1% off MSRP. This doesn't include dealer admin fee of $798. Tempting, wondering if I should accept the price and ask for some add-ons like weather mats and something else (any suggestions)? Thoughts on the deal?

Had a salesman text me today (wild, I know) about them having some tacomas. I told him exactly what I wanted. He came back with a cement grey, off road TRD, crew cab, tech and premium package for $44k. I said no way. He came back with $40k. How is that?

No way will I pay that much for a mid size truck but the premium package is what is driving that up if I had to guess. All I really want is that tech package. I am gonna haggle some more.

Here in my neck of woods (SoCal) that's a pretty good deal I think. IIRC, 4WD OR DCSB with tech and premium is around $42K MSRP. I take the MSRP includes some accessories?

I paid exactly $35k for my DCSB TRD OR without tech and premium. It had blackout scripting, black tailgate letter inserts, mudflaps and predator steps installed by Gulf States Toyota. I believe sticker was just over $41.
