I really feel bad for the people that go to buy new the tacoma and fall this... *what are you looking for in payments?*. Those dealerships will just rip you off. My sister in law just leased a new Rogue... she just straight up and told them on how much she can do on payments. (I laughed at her a bit) Oh wait, I guess I dont feel bad for her since that was a dumb move!

This price is too good to be true. That is ~5k lower than the OR premium w/o all the other addon options.

I have a line on a 2020 SR, AT, V6, Double Cab, Short Bed 4x4 for $28,640 with Colorado's crappy $599 dealer fees included but before all sales taxes, which is about 14.5% off MSRP. Is this a good deal?

My wife and I like to tow our 2600lb (dry) camper, get to work on snowy days, and do an aggressive fire road every now and then. The SR this year is also pretty loaded (adaptive cruise, luxury intermittent wipers, etc.) and I think I can add remote start and remote door locks easily too.

We're replacing a trouble-prone Chevy Colorado so we're pretty sensitive to price - I've got reliability. One thing I noticed is that the V6 4x4 SRs actually maintain the highest percentage of their value of any of the trims I saw, so if we wanted to switch to a fancier OR version in 2-3 years it wouldn't actually cost that much.

Ya I can see 10-15% off MSRP, but a premium packaged truck alone even without tech, LED, etc. I find that hard to believe unless there was other factors at play or OP "thinks" he has a premium package truck.

Hahah ya that's funny because she should know better, buying cars is a full year of high school! Maybe instead of laughing at her you could've helped, but nah, feeling superior is good.

The camera display is very pixelated, just poor quality, I have the normal tech package which is like $700 the advanced tech is another $770 and gives you just those cameras for a 360 view and wasn't worth it to me after seeing how crummy they were, I think you also get some trailer backup or something help in the head unit.

If 4x4 sounds pretty good. I have been shopping the same in an access cab with SX pkg and have been quoted a couple hundred more, without any fees yet. I have told a few of them 27.5 and no takers yet so gotta be getting close to the lowest they will go, unless the economy tanks then they will be more flexible.

I think that's a great deal. 10 months ago I got 11% off MSRP on my 2019 SR.

I have a 2020 with Advanced Tech Package and I really am glad I held out for the it. I do wish the camera quality was better. My neighbor has a Lexus SUV with the system and it's much sharper resolution and clarity so it is possible. That said, I still find is very useful for parking and reversing out of my driveway into a tight residential city street. Another thing to keep in mind is that the 360 cameras have dynamic lines that move with the steering wheel which is very useful when reversing/parking. I believe the reverse lines are static on the plain Technology Package. It was absolutely worth the extra $650 in my opinion.

$650 (think its acutally an extra $770 from the regular tech package) for extra grainy camera views and lines that move on the display...glad I didnt opt for it.

I get it, everyone places value differently, just like I felt it was not worth it. To each their own, but as you mentioned the quality is a bit poor in comparison to other makes / models.

I was cross shopping the Ranger and I'd say that the reverse cameras (no 360 available on Ranger) were about the same but yes the Lexus was a big improvement.

I had a loaner loaded RAV4 with it and it was better and I think cheaper, also had the weird new review mirror that is a camera/video display, lol.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with focusing on what payment you can afford, as long as you are also considering other important factors, such as loan duration, interest rate, fees, etc. ALL of these factors should be considered together.

The camera resolution is terrible. Toyota should be ashamed for using such low res cams, in general, on such an expensive vehicle. The adv tech package is $900 (retail) by itself.

    I'm with you!

Maybe because my current Tacoma is my first vehicle with a backup camera (and ignorance is bliss), but I honestly have no problem with it or the radio in general. Tried out the new 2020s and the 360 camera is also a nice add-on, along with AA and CP of course. If I'm going to spend damn near $40K on a vehicle, I'm going to get all the cool doodads on it!
