Lol. Sounds about right. I think he was confusing “entune prem” with prem package. Hard time believing a prem package truck at that price especially since he never listed MSRP.

My wife told me to just buy what I want rather than settle for something that I wouldn't be 100% happy with; I like her style. I'm also not one to swap out parts, upgrade, lift, tweak my truck with aftermarket stuff so I'd prefer to just get what comes stock and only making minor cosmetic upgrades going forward. I also love the hood-scoop.

Also, the fact that I got a great deal on the TRD Pro made it an easy decision. The lowest I could get the decked out TRD-Off Road with all of the bells and whistles (LED's, leather, sensors, etc) was $38,700 (MSRP $45K+) and then I'd want to put on new TRD Wheels and TRD grill which would have come to another $1,400 or so. So I was looking at approx $40,100. Made sense to me to spend the extra $1,800 to get the TRD Pro.

Regardless of what you buy, these are amazing trucks so get whatever makes the most sense for you.

I'm a fan of this line of thinking. If buying what you want means you hold onto the truck for longer, the extra options cost may very well be offset by delaying the purchase of your next vehicle. The high residual value of the Tacoma mutes that effect a bit, but it still applies.

That’s a really great price on a loaded OR. I’m assuming though it had the Premium, Tech, and LED packages.

I don’t necessarily agree the Pro is a no brainer. If they ever discounted them like all other cars and trucks, I would be more open to the idea.

This is the one that I could get for $38,700. $45,383 MSRP. This is a different dealership than who I bought through.

    https://www.petersontoyota.net/new/Toyota/2020-Toyota-Tacoma-02db853f0a0d0c1414486c93ee9c988c.htm

This same dealership wouldn't budge at all on their TRD Pro at $47k+

Just picked up my '20 TRD Sport DCLB in SoCal.
    Basic tech package.
    MSRP $37,400.
Would have been $32,687 but I chose the 2.9% finance over the $1000 rebate so $33,687 before TTL.
    She pretty, too.

That's nearly 13% off of MSRP! Mind sharing which dealer it was or PM? I live in SoCal and looking to get in on one soon.

Edit: Can tell by the plate frame that it's Autonation Buena Park?

I understand. Hope it works out for you. I have LED after doing extensive research and reading the full thread on it I pulled the trigger and it has excellent lighting. I only installed on low beam and left the OEM high beam as they would not work as well and create (as you mentioned) a scattered light pattern.
I saved a significant amount by opting for the 2019 (I did buy it in January of 2019 but could have waiting for 2020).

I got it from Cerritos, but yes Autonation network. They do no haggle prices, which you can find on their websites. They're legit and I didn't deal with any of the regular dealer shenanigans. I managed to get another $600 off because they matched a price I got through a friend at TRD.

Nice Job. You should of been able to put the 1000 rebate in plus the financing rate too.

No, you have to choose one or the other, at least where I am. It says so on Toyota's website too.

Whats everybody paying for a 2020 PRO? Looking at them and can't seem to find any incentives nor can the dealers keep them on the lots.

Depends on where you are buying. Most are at MSRP. Some higher. A few lower.

see cars.com and filter on the pro trim.

Good deal! Just a heads up for other people though, my credit union financed my 2020 Tacoma at 2.99%.

Also say you take the full 5 years to pay off the truck and without the promotional credit and got 3.5% instead for $1000 less out the door cost. Overall you will pay about $550 less for the truck at the higher rate.

Totally makes sense. Best rate I could get through my credit union was 3.79%, it was basically a wash so I decided to go with the dealer financing for simplicity's sake. If you can get a better rate than that, definitely go with the rebate

I got 11% off msrp on my truck before the 1000 rebate. Took 4 dealers before I found one to accept my offer but I got what I wanted under the price I targeted.

Looking to purchase an SR5 in v6 DCSB 4x4 configuration in the south jersey/philly area. I'm not sure if it's just my market, but dealers have very little stock and what they do have is all black? Of course the one color I am trying to avoid. I'm hopeful to be able to get into one for sub 33k before TTL.
