Today, I was reading that Waste Management is starting to change most of its' fleet from diesel to CNG.

And the fuel cost savings will pay for the difference (CNG is $30K higher each truck) in equipment price in the first year.

CNG is coming fast and can replace oil ... if we can keep the "oil politicians" out of the picture. We have over 100 years of natural gas in US too.

FWIW ... paid $3.98 for BP Amoco 93 (white gas) today ... but wife gets QT 87 for $3.40.

And where does CNG come from?

    Oil wells.

The same companies and the same people control the supply.
It's a bit cleaner, but it's no magic bullet, and provides far lower "MPG" equivalent and much less power.

Most of our fleet cars are CNG and they are complete dogs... make the 2.7 Taco feel like a 4.0

looks like it will be $2.50 a gallon without even voting for Newt. :D

btw, I promise you...as we get closer to the November election...gas prices will continue to drop.

we are all being played like a bunch of "Johns" by the ladies on Magazine Street in N'awlins.

    Continue to drop?

Been going up in California for the last couple of weeks.
    $4.32 yesterday.
    $0.10 down from 5/14/2012, but $0.10 up from 5/8/2012
Our peak since I started tracking with Fuelly was 5/14 at $4.42

This has all been from the same station... best price in my area and on my commute without going to Valero or Sam's/Costco... I won't buy their shit.
