    $2.73 for 87 octane at Shell today in North San Diego County, but got 20 cents a gallon discount with my Ralphs Rewards Card (that's a grocery store chain here in SoCal... same as Fry's in Arizona). That was still 10 cents more than Costco gas was last week.

    This brings up a question for you Oz, what brands of gasoline are in Canada. Are there no refineries up there to convert the crude oil into fuel, and the reason the cost is so high is as much the need to ship it 1,000s of miles away to refine along with the high taxes or government's take?

    Arizona, unlike California, has no oil to drill for (so far) and thus has no oil refineries. Yet, gasoline is 50 cents a gallon cheaper there than here in California where we do have oil and refineries! TAXES!! There is something wrong when a government makes more per gallon than the companies that actually do the work and take the risks!

    87 is acceptable for our trucks? The previous owner installed a Unichip in my truck and told me I needed to use premium. If I turn it off, mid grade should be used. Have I been overpaying for 35HP the past 3 months??
