    I also like to save up my Safeway gas points and use em all at once. Feels like hitting the lottery taking 50c off per gallon. Smug looks at everyone else filling up....Haha.

    Shell’s fuel rewards, I assume is available everywhere as I’ve seen it most places I’ve travelled to, saves you either 3 or 5 cents/gal. You get 5 cents off initially, “gold” status then it goes to 3 cents off unless you get at least a 5 gallon fill twice a month (not difficult for us obviously) which maintains 5 cents off.

    Sign up takes 2 min so there’s no reason to ever pay full price at Shell. Shell is usually one of the most expensive so it brings them down to the price of everyone else for I assume better (top tier) gas. I have a Shell 3 blocks away from the house so I just do that and maintain my 5 cent discount.

    I was surprised to see gas at Costco @ $3.659.
    Denver, CO up there was paying $2.33.
    I've seen Shell, 76, and Chevron going for $3.99+ for regular 87.
    The Cali life.
