This is one thing that kinda stinks about living in Alaska. Tac on 2K to any sweet deal you can find for "shipping" charges.

    Congrats on the truck!!
Highly dependent on the trade in. Assuming that the 899 is the dealer fee, and the look of the worksheet, I’m assuming you’re in Florida.
    6% off =average good deal
    8%=good
    10%=very good
    12%=excellent

Go back several pages and you'll see that going out of state (e.g., AZ) will be in your best interest.

Hard to see the details, but looks like you made out alright. Sales tax must be cheappppp where you are!

Honestly, I think you got an excellent deal for being "out west" and getting an AG colored manual truck. This is roughly what I paid for my cement, but yours is slightly more "exclusive" or hard to Find. Nice!

Based on this thread, I think the market has adjusted to something like this:
    4% off =average good deal
    6%=good
    8%=very good
    10%=excellent
Hate to say it but you can get 15% off on A Nissan frontier pretty easily

So it cost you $1500 to trade it in less than a year later. Pretty good compared to any other make or model.

Yes, and if you think about it, $1,100 of that $1,500 was dealer fee and license plates. Lost only $400 on the actual truck wth!!!

Next year I might trade for the 2022 OR DC 4x4 Premium Package. I kind of want the JBL sub. Oh and now we can get a factory lift kit installed by Toyota.

It quite literally gets shipped up which isn't cheap. More than worth it to not be down in the lower 48.

I would look into those two things. Check the threads on here on both those topics. I have same same lift done to my truck for WAY less$. It’s just Bilstein 5100s. Added my aftermarket stereo for way less and it’s way better.

That would be patricide!! Calm down new frontier. You’re not even born yet. LOL, Some people just need a truck and don’t really care. When I was looking for my aunt, the second Nissan dealership I talked to was at 15.6% off after a 20 minute conversation over the phone. Probably somewhat due to the new one coming out.

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
Looking at a DCSB off road with basic tech package...none of the fancy stuff...37,200.

Any discounting still going on? Most dealers around me have maybe 4 varieties of new Tacomas on their lots.

Currently more interested in my trade being valued decently than haggling over sticker. Was told the one I am looking at was sold when I visited dealer. Then they called the next day begging me to call them, that they buyer 'backed out' on them. My first thought is why did they back out? If they would have told me that the buyer couldn't secure financing that is one thing...but to 'back out' of a sale? Hmmm.

There is a dealer 3 hours from me that also has the truck I want for slightly less money.

I'd say there are plenty of deals and discounts to be had. What are the current Toyota incentives like in your area? Do some research, use TrueCar or Costco auto to get a quote and either order through those dealers or use those quotes for negotiation. Having a trade-in is another tool to help you get a deal.

I just picked up a Lunar Rock with M/T for $45,775 in Ohio. Once I register it in GA, I'll pay the taxes which will come out to roughly $3,000.

In your region you should be able to get some off. Something like this:
    4% off =average good deal
    6%=good
    8%=very good
    10%=excellent
normal times good deals would start ~8%...

I’ve been stalking this forum for a while as I’ve shopped around for a new Tacoma, and the info here has been extremely helpful. I bought a truck Saturday, so here’s the deal I got in Dallas.

    ‘21 SR5 V6 DCSB RWD
    $33,575 base
    $35,705 MSRP including dock options:
    -blackout package
    -bed lights
    -power tailgate lock
    -predator bars
    -floor mats
    -miscellaneous coatings and other crap
    $1899 dealer add-ons
    Final price was $32,389+ttl
1.9% for 60 months through TMF.

They originally appraised my trade at 7500, which wasn’t unreasonable, but after some back and forth came up to 9k to be within $200 of a Carmax offer on a battle-scarred 8-year-old Ford Edge.

I feel like this was a good deal. I tried to pull the trigger on 3 different trucks that all sold in a matter of hours while I was waiting. I watched all 3 of them get tagged and driven out. I was given the option of reserving another color that would be delivered this week, but decided I really liked the look of mag grey with blackout badges the predator bars, and 2 miles on the odometer.

Selfishly, this makes me feel even better about my 8% off:rofl:

When you did your 5100s, did it mess with the TSS such that you had to adjust it? And did you do ECGS bushing too?

    Nice, congrats!

I first thought the taxes were high...but realized your truck is pricier than mine:thumbsup:

I thought his taxes were low. Same truck here is $4900 tax. I know, as I just paid $4300 for mine
