Spent over 1 month looking for a Lunar Rock Pro and finally got one at MSRP. $47k before taxes, registration, etc. Flew out to ND from CO to pick it up. Oh and it’s a manual! Super pumped. Just shy of $50k OTD.

We are emotional creatures and I can't explain or justify what a dumb financial decision this was. It was the best time to trade in my car and the worst time to buy a new one. This was a case of the "i wants" instead of the "i needs". I also got a couple back end products that added to the OTD price cuz I'm a sucker.

It would be a lie to say I've never been there before! Nice truck regardless, and if you actually keep it for 10 plus years it wont be as bad of a hit since they do hold their value much longer compared to most brands out there! Enjoy your new truck! :bananadance:

You put $6k down on a lease??? :annoyed:
Every thousand you put down or don't put down, roughly equates to a $20 difference in your monthly payment. So if put $0 down, your payment would be roughly $120 more per month. If you did a standard 36 month lease, that would have only been $4320. The dealer is sitting pretty off that deal.

Honestly, if you build it on toyota's website, in the current market, anything below that msrp is probably decent. 5% off good, 6-8% better, 10% off is probably impossible right now (lol). If you pay msrp thats probably decent enough in this current market, over msrp and i'd start shopping around more, even out of state for a better deal. I went through Costco Auto program and got 6.3% off msrp on a SR5 (in colorado none the less, which is a tough market right now)

If you're going for Double Cab msrp is $38,665 based on toyota.com... the market is crazy right now, anything under $39,999 is probably fair... anything equal or under msrp is better. (Before Tax, TTL, and dealer fee's)

Edit: Delivery adds $1100, so 39,760 msrp before TTL/dealer fee's

Is the $1000 customer cash available is most places?

If so, how do you get that added and what helps push them to add that?

    Hey verlaryder,

It's funny that you posted this, as this is my truck. I had the dealer check his allocation on Feb 12th, and they were able to slightly modify one they had in the pipeline to meet what I wanted. I noticed that this hit their website yesterday and called my sales guy to ask about it. He said their 3rd party website folks upload all incoming vehicles to their website when the truck hits "freight" status.

It's supposed to arrive at the dealer may 17th.

Keep your hands off my truck ;-)

This $1000 Toyota incentive is the April incentive in Idaho on Tacoma's. I know it varies by state or region, but not sure how to check for other states, hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in.

Congrats! We will all be anxious to hear if they truely honored the advertised $3,000+ off MSRP price which beats the hell out of what dealers in California have been willing to offer.

I'm confident that I'll receive the $2016 off, the $1000 will depend upon what the Toyota incentive is when I pick up the truck,
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Toyota extends the $1000 incentive into May. Will let you know..
