What are you paying for your 2021 Tacoma? (price thread)

Poway Toyota has 2 Tacomas that's it

 

Sales manager says I pay Arizona tax plus the remaining California tax differences, license - registration based on my California address. When I get back I need to take care of the smog and VIN check which is not a problem to save paying 6-9k over MSRP over here.

 

I feel bad for all of yall out there dealing with California prices and what not. It's crazy, but im glad you can still find what you want.

 

He may be right, but I’d double check that. When I bought a truck in Indiana they insisted that I pay sales tax at their rate, then they would give me a form to show I payed 4.5% tax. I was leery and told them NC “tax” was 3%. They agreed to let me pay 3% and told me I’d be responsible for the other 1.5% when I got back. I said fine by me. They acted like they sell cars all over the county and they new how to do this and assured me they were right. Long story short I ended up having to go trough the Indiana department of revenue to get my money back because NC doesn’t recognize (or ever get) money paid to other states as sales tax.

 

Would love to pay Arizona’s new car sales tax its heck of a lot cheaper then California’s. If theres any hidden taxes I’ll keep everyone informed.

I paid 39k. 2021 TRD Offroad Dcsb Tacoma.
After 3 hours of negotiating which started on an access cab then flipped them to the double cab OR. Was able to get all weather mats, bed lights ordered, the Toyota care service and warranty extended all covered by dealer. Definitely got a great deal considering. Was going to wait to purchase but the transmission went out in my f150 and I build custom homes. Couldn't sit on it any longer.

Dealer had one base model, a loaner access cab w 900 miles, 2 used TRD or's for 2k below new msrp but with 35kish miles, and two trd OR's.

The only things I did not get at purchase because I didn't know any better was the bed mat and the factory bed cover. Not a big deal.

I bought an F350 several years ago in Colorado and also had to get a certified weight of the vehicle to bring to the DMV since all trucks in Ca are considered commercial vehicles. Friend just had to do the same that bought a Dodge Ram in Az last month. Not sure if this is just a full size truck requirement; or all trucks? If so, I saved a little by ensuring the fuel tank was near empty, removed the spare tire and all other non-essential items from the truck.

I snagged a taco in Rochester NY a few months ago. Dealers in the local area and very few new Tacomas on the lot, a couple had none at all. Waited almost 3 months to get what I wanted (SR 4x4 w/ SX package). Ordered it off their allocation schedule before it was built.
Paid MSRP $34,258.
Included bed mat, all weather floor mats and door sill protectors.
Negotiating was off the table since demand was/is crazy.

 

In 2018 I was a California resident and bought a new Camry in Oregon to take advantage of a 0.9% APR financing deal offered only in the Pacific Northwest. I paid California sales tax and registration, but nothing to the state of Oregon.

 

Did you get a delivery date yet for your TRD Pro? Or has it shown up?

 

My date was originally 06/23 but it had pushed back to 07/06. It's been in freight after it got pushed back so it should for sure be here next week. Getting excited and impatient

 

Mine was freight status on the 23rd. I'm hoping that it shows up next week also. I meant to message my dealer today to see if he had an update yet but I forgot.

 

Price quoted for my ST v6 double cab is $34,187, didn't really haggle much, since getting new trucks around here is not easy, and finding a SR v6 double cab has been a pain. It has all weather floor mats, door sill protectors and the chrome tailgate insert. dealership had to get it through an allocation schedule trade with another dealership. got (hopefully) 6-8 weeks before I get it

 

First build date : 7/14 with temporary VIN. Yesterday, received another build date, "estimated", 7/26. That should bring the delivery to middle August, maybe. We have the guarantee of first offer, the trade and new Tacoma selling price is locked in. Very reliable dealer.

My 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport Premium cost me $36,000 + taxes CA after trading in my 2014 Venza. This is in Canadian prices which are much higher than U.S
The truck was listed at $ 47,510 with the premium package in Barcelona Red ( 385.00 extra ).

 

Dealer says expected delivery is next week!

 

Yeah I hope we end up both getting them next week. If mine really does come on Tuesday I'm half tempted to drive 3 hours to get it after work rather than wait for the weekend lol

 

I'm lucky the dealership is only 10 min away. If I were you I'd go get it also!
