lol I have no idea I'm coming from the Mercedes /////AMG world where a option package is 10K :duh: prices seen not to out of line for the resale value these trucks can have ?? Plus I'm to poor to afford a G63/G65 AMG.

No, that’s a terrible deal. I guess if you have the money to spend and don’t mind throwing 5k into a truck that will sell at msrp or below a year from now it doesn’t matter. I would never pay above msrp for a Tacoma even if it’s a Pro. People do it, but this market won’t last forever.

I just got a 2021 DC SR5 2WD for MSRP plus Military discount. I told them I was not paying any market adjustment. But Pre-owned are costing way more, Carmax is killing it.

Buy a 2022 OR in Luna Rock. Add the TRD factory lift and get a Pro grill.

34,187 plus a few extra grand for protection plan that includes paint protection and additional undercoating, plus a 8yr/120,000 mile extended waranty service plan. That last one cost a bunch, but it lasts beyond when I'll have the truck paid off.

Debating if I should wait for the 2022 TRD Pro to hit the dealer lot. The suspension seems to be worth it!

go on Leasehackr. Look up Jim Roleau (might have spelled last name wrong). He is a legend on the east coast. He can damn near get anything. Right now most are at MSRP.

    I wanted an MT.
2021 Off-road premium Package, auto, cement, loaded... 39875 out the door...I wanted am MT but I was sick of my F150 with bald ass tires and didn’t want to buy new tires...

My trade in on my old truck was beyond fair. I was extremely fortunate... purchased in Harrisburg PA.

The $39,875 includes the trade-in? It would be helpful if you provided all the details that went into the OTD price.

That was sticker and all fees... I only financed like 22k... I don’t have the paperwork handy... this was in March before everything vehicle wise went completely upside down.

When I was first out of college I sold cars for several years to pay off my student loans (because I understood it was my debt and not societies to pay off. But I digress). Selling cars for a living you also learn how to buy cars at the best possible price. A skill that has come in handy and saved me thousands over the years.

Here's what I can tell you about Tacomas. Few, if any vehicles hold their value like Tacomas do.

Most recent case in point: I paid $23,660 for a used 2015 SR5 in November of 2019. I drove that taco for 21 months and put 27,000 miles on it. I sold it to my local dealer yesterday with 51,000 miles on it for $25,500!

ALWAYS, negotiate your trade value first and arrive at a figure that is acceptable to you before you spend any time negotiating the selling price. And until you've negotiated your trade-in value, and then the purchase price of the vehicle (in that order!), don't tip your hand and tell the dealer that he won't be arranging financing for you.

Everything is MSRP around me. The one I looked at was 41k with a few options, pretty much the exact price if you built it on the Toyota website. They had 0 new trucks on the lot and only a few used ones that were almost the same price as a new one.
