Do you have a break down of the fees? I looked up the sales taxes in FL and I guess they can range anywhere from 6-8%. This can bring the price of the truck up to $38.2-$38.9k. Then let's assume they are charging you another 500 in doc fees and 650 in registration, that would bring you up to the 40k. I guess what I am trying to say is that I agree with you, MSRP is pretty much the norm these days. Really hard to negotiate the MSRP price since so many people are willing to buy them. Basic math, why would they sell them for 1-2k less than what someone else would give them. I am actually surprised they gave you the $500 discount.

Hey bottom line, if you like the truck I would go ahead and just get it before it sells. At the end of the day, these trucks keep their value and you can always go back and either upgrade or sell it without a loss or who knows, perhaps even a profit.

Ah O.K. I was thinking since this was a 2021 thread that you got 3-4K off a 2021.
My 2018 when I purchased it in late 2018 I got $5k off MSRP because it was the out going year.
But people are not getting anything off the 2021 or 2022 orders.
Best I could get was $1,500 off MSRP for a 2021. Sales guy said it didn't matter because they have such a long waiting list they don't really need to do any discounts.

Like I mentioned in one of my previous posts, in AZ we are charged a $499 doc fee by dealers. I think that's messed up myself.

I got $3,382 off a 2021 MT OR that I picked up end of June but ordered in February. Should've been $4,132 (+$750) with the Toyota incentive included but they didn't completely honor the agreed on OTD price when I picked it up. Wasn't going to push it too hard with what other Tacomas were selling for.

Here in Hawaii the Tacoma is the most popular truck.
That being said and the fact that we only have one dealership on Oahu. (So no real negotiating) The Price is the Price. (No Costco auto program for Toyota's here in Hawaii)
Servco Toyota sets the price and there's very little room to negotiate. Not like we can call a different dealer to beat their price.
The TRD Pro's have all been sold for 2022, I'm on the wait list. May be by 2024 I can get one? LMAO!!

The TRD Off-Road that I ordered came in Yesterday but when I went to do the acceptance inspection I found the hood had a defect. :(

So they are getting a different Truck but it won't be here to later this month. Every truck that comes in is already sold.

I am only seeing “Market value selling price” which i believe is a dealer inflated price and clearly not MSRP. Did you see an MSRP?

Yeah, I went through the Costco auto program to start.

Crazy the 2022 Pro's are all sold! What was wrong with the hood? Surprised they couldn't just fix it at the dealership.

    There
Of course. Window Sticker was 38,113 before dealer add ons. I started negotiating from from sticker and not dealer add on price as my quote shows.

Its 2 oil changes which I'll do myself, 4 tire rotations (no balancing which is dumb), paint sealant, interior stain protection, road side assistance and rental car while vehicle is in service.

Can finally chime in here, left a deposit for LR TRD Pro i found on Autotrader Thursday. Dealer emailed me saying to call them asap as truck became available just an hour ago, spoke with a great sales guy who was in the business for a long time, he said customer ordered it and was trading in his SR to find out his bank would not sell the SR back for what he owed and that it was for market price, so he was upside down 5k and now couldn't afford to buy the Pro. So we spoke for about 20 minutes, they have almost no dealer fee($200), msrp $48,494 on truck with pretty much no options. I need to fly and drive home the 10 hours making it a little excursion but look forward to that, never been to MI in my life and have a friend in between I can stop over. Buying this truck to drive and enjoy so could care less about the miles or additional cost getting there using my free airline miles.

For months was really torn between getting a base $38k Sport with manual or getting the Pro, but the lack of options on the base with no hot seats, no keyless, no roof, no led lights killed me,i'd be thinking about it every time i drove that i didn't have the desired options. So at the end of the day, i wanted the Premium package on the sport/OR and that brought the price to 43-44k plus options, and then would be doing some modifications to make it the way i want it(wheels/Bilstein 5100), so buying the PRO done up stock settles everything, and the rare factor will keep me happy for years. Also every dealer within 250 miles that had a pro incoming was sold, or laughed when i called to inquire. The few that did have one available was 3-4k over msrp for market inflation, plus ridiculous dealer fee, out of state fee($600-800). Thought about the 2022 model coming out but love LR and don't need the updated suspension lift.

Anyone looking for a gen 1 with no rust?

Congrats! I'm hoping my LR Pro will be in this week. Scheduled for next. Took the same approach as you but had my focus on the OR. Got the Pro for MSRP so I wasn't second guessing anything.
