It's pretty tough to get a deal on a Tacoma. I got a total of $1600 off msrp on a sport but most dealers around here are asking above list. I was lucky but I wouldn't wait too long to find one.

I like the looks of the sport or pro hoodscoop. It didn't bother me at all when driving my 2011. I guess that's why I ordered a 2021 sport, that and that's all I could get lol.
I like offroads too, I'm driving a 2018 Tundra OR right now. It's going up for sale though

I'm going through an Auto Broker firm via a friend. He said he could get me exactly what I want for exact MSRP, but that he can't go below it and I have to be willing to wait. Here in Colorado it is a steal. Everyplace I went in a 70 mile radius had $3,000-$,5,000 mark ups in either dealer add-ons or just market adjustment. Once I had the offer from my friend, no dealership wanted to play with me when I was upfront about it. They said if it was real its the best im going to get, and Sales manager wont let them sell a DCLB at MSRP. Just gone back to mod planning ever since.

It's definitely a tough market but it's good for anyone selling that isn't buying another vehicle or one that has gone up in price.
My year Tundra is going for around 50k to 53k but I'm hoping to get closer to 55k. I paid 47k for it 3.5 years ago but only has 13k on it. Hardly broken in lol

No kidding! Yeah my old man leased a 1794 Tundra start of 2019, I think an older year though. Kicking himself now. I have a 2015 Nissan Altima I put 72k miles on in about 3 years, 92k total right now. Thought I was totally upside down on it. But I demand a lot from my vehicles. Selling it for $3,200 profit since a refinance I did in 2019 before retirement came through. Tons of things wrong with it, Carvana doesn't care. They offer $9,100 for the condition its in with blading tires and blown struts/shocks. Selling now and relying on my mountain bike and good ol' Lambo-feeties until my Taco gets here... in 3- 7 months haha.

Different dealers give Different answers but you maybe able to find one that is allocated to a dealer so i would just call around. The problem with that is trying to get a straight answer but I wish you luck !

I'm guessing that dealer doesn't have anymore allocated so just wants you to wait for a 22

Could be true, could be the dealer see's a serious buyer and wants to milk them. Dealers get kickbacks directly from the factory for every new vehicle they move, and these are normally higher %s for sales in the first month of the new model year's release.

Here in the Denver area, and all surrounding suburb dealers, have emailed me multiple times even recently to try and show off their new allocations for 2021. But his dealership could be a smaller one with less allocations. Don't mean to muddy the waters. But it's something to consider.

I live in Canada, and I ordered a Tacoma Sport Premium DCLB no packages just floor mats, and remote start. OTD price was 52k.

just got an army green manual double cab offroad with 1,300 miles on it for 45 g's. I feel like I got robbed a bit, but I traded in a gmc that had a tranny going out for a great price so whatever. I love the new truck!

From talking to dealers around me in NH. Cheapest dealership is offering 2k markup on MSRP from the Toyota website. Pretty neat as that was the first dealership I talked with and they gave me a number, now I lead with that number and none of the other dealerships will tell me anything, just want to me to come in........ Then one lady tells me their dealership is "closer to 5K but I can still get a great deal.." not sure how that's supposed to work.

2K markup dealership is Portsmouth Toyota if anyone in NE is wondering.

It appears that mark up is definitely region dependent. My dealer tried to get my to agree to $1,000 mark up because I was outside of their PMA Primary Marketing Area. I'm 45 minutes away from them. I said that's a no go, then sales manager said he'll wave it if I put $1000 deposit down on the truck (refundable if deal falls through).

@bf2junky interesting, all dealerships for me said 500 deposit and I would also put more down to wave the MRSP markup if they offer it.

My apologies if this has already been covered. What kind of discounts off MRSP could you get before the supply shortage?
Im going to hold out until the prices come down. Thanks

    Oh look, another mod....
I got $1,000 off MSRP. This was back in February of this year. I was told by my stealership "That is the ONLY rebate Toyota will give for your Tacoma." I took the rebate and ran!

Fun fact: As I was sitting in my truck (after I signed all the paperwork), I was getting ready to drive off the lot and a guy and his family walked by the truck. I heard him say "This is IT, this is the one I saw online!"

I don't even want to imagine his level of disappointment when he was told by the sales team that I just bought it.
