2021 SR5 4x4 double cab. $3,368 discount off of the $38,184 MSRP (8.8% off). Final OTD to be $36,652 (sales tax in my state is 3%). Dealer says should be ready to pick up at the end of October. Was pleasantly surprised with this deal.. lucky to live in area with multiple dealerships and had two high volume dealerships bidding against one another.

    yep.

edit: they wrote down on my purchase agreement "all rebates and incentives will be applied."

2nd edit: i'm also one of those people that are willing to pay MSRP, as what I'm driving now is 21 years old and way past time... Also, I'm done haggling to save a few bucks as the time and energy sink (especially during a pandemic) is too much. I'd rather be driving the truck then talking to salespeople.

If this is for a 2021 you got the time lol. You can't drive it quite yet (at least not where I'm at). I feel you though it's bunch of work to go through the process. If you get bored go to that dealerrater website and find top two dealers located near you, contact their internet dept. and fire off quick email with your current offer and see if they can beat it. Getting the right dealership/salesperson helps.. a lot of these guys you do have to BS around with them before they want to get to the point. Flat out tell them to get to the point or tell them nevermind.

It would be helpful to know WHERE the dealer is with these prices if your location is not in your profile.
I'm willing to leave Kalifornia and go to a nearby state to not get reamed here in SoCal.

Because people are willing to pay it. It’s a pro and if it’s whatever the special color is that year there will be a line to be the first.

In Texas, when to over 15 dealers most wanted over list or over list for a TRD Pro. Finally ordered a 2021 TRD Pro for list.

This is true but it leans more on, demand is there and they have a way to make the money they always wanted so they will do and say what they can to get the most they can. It is supply and demand but more a chance to ripp off so they're all on board to RIP off anyone who walks thru the door.

Now the flip side. If ur not getying a few extra grand for ur trade def dont do it. For instance the guy who traded the 17 for the 21 should have gotten about 2 gramd at least more than he would of if this wasnt going in.

Go find ur vehicle on their lot if they have a used one, n dont take less than 2000 grand less but shoot for like 1500 off that price for ur trade. So then that makes up for a little for paying msrp n not getting the few grand ud normally get.

Remember though, these aren't rams, they hokd a premium resale because they dont take 10k off a new vehicle (ever) ya know.
Also the more options u get, a min of 25 % off of those options at a minimum u need to get. Theyre making like 70% off retail prices of add ons remember that. No diff than the 700 dollar tv in best buy that best buy at best paid 200 bucks for usually less.
I remember my sister worked there n the monster cables would be lets say 50 bucks, shed get em at cost for like 6.99 no joke, n thats the (best) brand ya know.

Dont let these fucs rip us off. If the deal isnt there walk, if everyone uses they're head they'll have more at the end of the year. They will only sell them by taking money off, do u part n fn walk of they dont wanna budge. If u have a 2017 truck, clearly u dont need a new truck lol ya know. Walk if its not right. None of these trucks will ever be rare as long as Toyota is in buisness remember that.

First thing that I did is figure out what I was willing to offer, and what I would accept for my trade independently with all things being equal. No market considerations or anything like that. Basically what I thought would be a fair deal. From there you can massage numbers in a number of places to get the desired end result. Before I ever set foot in the dealership I swagged what I thought invoice was based on the difference in MSRP between the 2020 and 2021. Then I subtracted 2% dealer holdback and what I felt was excessive doc fee. Once I had that number, I added in what I thought was a fair profit of 4%. I offered them that number and they told me that they wouldn't budge off of MSRP.

From there, most dealers offer low book plus $100 for most trade ins. I went and got a quote for what Carvana would offer me for my trade (I would have to drive 2 hours to a location where I could sell it to them). I subtracted MSRP from my offer and added that number to low book plus $100 and made that the number that I would accept for my trade in (that number ended up being higher than Carvana quote). Their first offer was predictably a lowball offer because I have some truck things going on (sagebrush pinstripes, a couple of dings, scratches in the bed, etc) I gave them my number again and told them they have to hit it otherwise no deal, and I wait until dealer cash or rebates roll along to make something happen. The last big piece is that I get a tax credit for the value of my trade. That alone saved me $2,000 and makes selling my truck to Carvana much less desirable.

The last piece is that if and that is a big if, there are any dealer incentives available next month on 2021's, they will be applied to my deal. So even though I ended up paying MSRP, I got about $3,500 more than what I was willing to accept for my trade when you factor in the tax credit. The difference between what I thought was a fair offer and MSRP was about $1,700. All told, I don't think that I did too bad. Got to upgrade my '17 to a '21 for a little over $10k out of pocket (gonna be more than that as I have already spent close to $1,300 on mods for the new truck).

I have a 2021 MGM Sport 4x4 double cab with technology packing, tonneau cover, led headlights, blackout package, and all weather package coming soon. I am getting $1,448 off of the MSRP $40,973, but this does not include any incentives and I will also get whatever is going on at the time the truck comes in. I sold my 2019 Sport to Carvana, depending on Toyota cash at the time of sale I upgraded for around 2 to 4kish.

    I built a 2021 TRD Sport 4X4 AT 5’ Bed. MSRP was $42,433
    factory options:
    advanced technology package
    premium audio and navigation
    LED lights package

I was quoted by a high volume dealership near me for $40,500 before TTL. No incentives available as of month of September 2020.

I couldn’t justify the price so i went with a 2020 Limited 4X4 for $41,000 before TTL. Price included a local $1000 cash back incentive.

In this market it is, I think people are not realizing pricing has gone up and an SR5 costs as much as what a TRD used to, TRD now close to PRO when spec'd out, etc. Enjoy your new truck.

Thats pretty solid. Same truck but 2020 back in late Feb, $39k w/out rebates ($44.8k MSRP), but that was pre covid craziness. I’d see if you can get them down another $800.
