I was reading its not the manufacturers but the parts suppliers that's causing the hold up. My estimated PRO delivery before I canceled went from 6 weeks to 3-5 months, lmao, this weekend when he updated me.

You are the senior VP, you know the senior VP, your salesman says he spoke with the Senior VP? context...so the senior VP now knows when specific models will be built with specific packages and production timelines/dates?...

There are 2021's on dealer lots right now with Premium packages, at least in the Northwest. All production of 2021's have not moved to Mexico. That is taking place at the end of 2021 calendar year. Many San Antonio trucks are still being produced including all Pros' and many manual transmission trucks.

They've been making Taco's in Mexico for years. There's nothing to be up and running. I had a 2014 Tacoma built in Mexico.

honestly... i want it now. But I’m fine with the wait. More money I’ll be able to put down. And hopefully they have some specials going on around that time.

Besides owning 12 of them over the last 17 years, 8 of them purchased new in different states/regions. I created this thread as is tradition with each year, I.E. we had a 2020 thread, 2019, 2016, etc. I also am friends with 2 sales managers in 2 different regions (like beers and pizza friends, not just friends because they sold me trucks), a former fleet sales manager, and a regional manager. Nothing new to share that you can't gather from the other threads and in this one now or that hasn't already been discussed.

My dealer guy said my '21 OR DCSB 6MT is being made in TX so I think you are right. Allegedly produced in early Oct said a window of mid Oct to mid Nov delivery.

My 2021 OR DCLB with Premium was made in San Antonio so I can confirmed that there is still production here, at least for now.

Hey guys I’ve been going through this thread for the past few days. I’m from SoCal near San Diego area but all I keep reading is how Cali dealers are not budging on prices. So I decided to get quotes from out of state and they wouldn’t budge either. I’ve gotten quotes on a sr 4x4 model In Peoria and they wouldn’t budge on price besides the $500 rebate. I also got another quote on a 4x4 sr5 model and they do not want to budge. Do you guys have any tips or tricks I can get since I am first time buyer but planning to put half down. I am willing to buy within a 1000 mile radius of it means getting a better deal than msrp lol.

it’s a though time to buy right now. But there are dealers coming off of msrp. Maybe send an email blast out to dozens of different dealers near you or within the distance you’re willing to travel to.
