So I’ve been debating between a 21 or 22. Dealers in Manitoba where I am have have not budged from msrp plus a doc fee. Telling me there’s no deals. A few dealers still have the odd 21 still coming in but they will also see some 22’s in the next 2-3 weeks. Just had a dealer call me to see if I was still interested in a new Tacoma. I told him I was but if I had to pay MSRP I’d wait for the 22 over the 21 they had. They had 1 TRD OR CCSB AND 1 CCLB sport. After I said that he instantly offers 1k off if I take a 21. Got me thinking about it but the more I think about it is 1k off a 21 when the 22’s are just around the corner.

The chip storage still gonna effect the 2022 model year too.. dealer in the pacific north west are basically selling at msrp. Some dealer have mark up or stupid add on that most people don't need. Best deal I found was buying at msrp and a $997 dealer protect package which is non negotiable at this time of storage.. been calling around to other dealership most all there in coming allocation TRD off are presold already... mine is a 22 TRD off coming in next week.

I've noticed that some Toyota dealerships post all their sold Tacoma's online then get you to come in and they get you to pre-contract a new one if they have some in the pipelines.

Question: Do you guys get the 6 year warranty or is that just a waste of money?

You can buy the Toyota extended warranty while you're still under the full bumper to bumper warranty; doesn't need to be bought at the dealer with your new truck. You can even shop around for different prices on that exact same Toyota warranty. No inspection needed either.

I recommend, don't roll it into your loan. Wait a year or so. Then, see if it feels like a good idea to spend $x,xxx dollars cash on the warranty.

BELLEVUE NE. I HAVE Been looking for a few months. When they said they had a blue one with all the options i wanted i pulled the trigger. I think interest rates will go up between now and next year when they might have supply.

I paid about $800 over MSRP, mostly went to broker's pockets. I'd say the broker was worth it in this market environment and made my job easier. I purchased this in California where it's atypical to get a 2021 Taco under MSRP, or at least that's what I gathered.

It all depends on your dealer ship, mine is shady in a good way and when people pay for the warranty they honor it even with aftermarket upgrades, online their service department has a 5 star review for this, but my dad goes to a different dealer and they didnt even want to honor the service part of it cause he has a lift and 32s

Put my deposit down on Sep 18, dealer just told me it's expected in during the first week of December. Which is a lot quicker than I expected. As I have been checking their website and seen 2022 incomings for a week or two now, either way very excited!

I've always been awesome at negotiating in my favor. This new Tacoma I bought almost 2 weeks back... Well, I paid the sticker price on the truck, which is hard to swallow.

I know all about the games played, and the huge mark-up on vehicles. With the chip shortage happening, which will be a problem for another 1 plus years, it's now or never. I was trying to get out of a previous purchase I wasn't happy with (long story).

Needing a truck to pull my horse trailer, but not one that would give me a $1k monthly payment. I happened upon one, and luckily missed the circle of lions, waiting to pounce, if something went amiss with the loan

I was absolutely stoked, because I got this 2021, with everything I wanted for $41k, versus the 2022 I had ordered for the same price didn't have this extra package... Moon roof, leather, heated seats, technology, LED lights, etc.

Even though, I know I paid way too much... With the shortage, you have to accept buying a new rig, you don't have the bargaining chip luxuries. I had a long list of people wanting to buy this truck, if it didn't work out for me, it was the "next" option. And used Tacoma's are selling for more than a brand new one

I'm the type of person that keeps their rig for the long haul. I'm also the type of person, that driving something I love is really important!

Did you order this truck? I believe that was the dealership, where I placed my order for a '22 truck.

I ended up finding a 2021 that had just come into the Salem dealership. And bought it on the 11th of this month.

Just put a deposit down for army green 2022 trdOR. No chance I’d find a new 6speed coming in randomly so had to bite the bullet and place the order. Breakdown is as follows:

    msrp on truck: 35,825
Installed packages: (they made me buy them as apparent there are a few Toyota lawsuits regarding them in the south) 1,401 for tech package, caret floor mats (300 for these are bullshit I made the salesman include all weather ones too) 74 for phone cable charging package (bullshit) and 199 for led interior upgrade (bullshit)
    Delivery: 1,175
Total: 38,401 as this dealer charges NO additional fee not a dealer fee or anything.
Should have been 37,000 as I didn’t want any of the upgrades but I literally couldn’t get one built without it. Should be out the door under 41,300. But I also will have a trade in.

No custom order just called a month ago and have them hold a allocated tacoma that was coming in to their lot. It wasn't my first color choice but the tacoma didn't came with crazy accessories that I don't need. So I pull trigger and place a hold on it. Congrats on your taco too! What was your out to door price? I remember calling Salem toyota but almost all the taco were spoken for.

I paid 41k (MSRP) + taxes/fees for my 2021 Access Cab Off Road last August. I went with 2021 because I wanted the cement color and its discontinued for 2022. I looked all over the country and only found a handful and luckily one was just an hour away here in WA. Not that stoked that I had to pay $2k for the technology package and $650 for the Predator bars, but considering the trucks are being marked up over MSRP I can't complain.
