That's how I got mine..... Well, not really.... Someone turned in my 2018 Inferno OR, and I assume it sat for most of the Pandemic, because I bought it in October 2021 w/ only 21.2 k miles...

    Buy it.

Buy it. $29k for 25K miles is a great price.

Paid $39,728 for a ‘22 OR LB with no other packages or add-ons other than floor mats. It seems like about half of dealers near me are doing markups. Ordered from one without and waited about a month.

2022 TRD off road coming soon
    New member, first post.

Just put a deposit down yesterday on a 2022 red offroad short bed (4x4, v6, necessarily I think)--getting it for MSRP ($43k all in (including documentation, destination, etc.) with some options I didn't need like the premium audio/navigation package, blackout, LEDs, bed lights, etc.). Supposedly, it will be here by mid-March. Looking at the used market, I think I could drive once around the world and sell it for $48k the next day. Crazy.

The dealer said it would be about 6 months to get one if I did a custom order.

I was going to pass on this one and put in my own order because I wasn't sold on the red (thinking gray or black) but I saw one in a parking lot and fell in love; I was practically drooling!

I contemplated the 2.7l for a bit, but I previously had a 1997 taco and always had to downshift to make it up the hills around here (ended up going 40 at the top in a 65 mph zone)--I'm sure the new 2.7 is better, but didn't want to run in to that problem again, and with essentially the same mpg it seemed like a no-brainer.

    Can't wait!

Been watching these forums and prices for quite awhile, finally getting serious about pulling the trigger on a new SR5. The last few years the wife would have neutered me if I had dropped $$ for a new truck, but now that the used market is so friggin high, she's all in on a new Tacoma. Had a 2008 Tacoma Access and loved it but daughter played pinball on an overpass. She came out unscathed, but the truck, not so much. Now looking at a SR5 DCSB with technology pkg and floormats. $40,497(msrp and all paperwork, etc) Does this sound reasonable??

Also, I wanted to have the color keyed fender flares swapped out for black OEM flares. They'll do it but not cheap, $1357 parts/labor(estimated) Ouch, what are my options for DIY OEM flares.

    Appreciate the feedback.

I got lucky. Had a '22 Black TRD OR Premium AT on order, which kept getting delayed. On Saturday, I took ownership of this '22 MGM TRD OR Premium MT after an allocation fell through and was able to get my deposit back on the Black truck.

I went through McDonald Toyota in Greeley, CO and worked with Nakoda. Extremely painless experience, even F&I didn't try to fill me with unnecessary bs at the end. I would recommend working with them if you're in Colorado or surrounding states. Paid MSRP :)

If you really want the black OEM flares, instead of paying $1357 for the switch, just order an Off Road - might cost you about $2400 above the SR5 but for that $2400, you get so much more than just fender flares. They're really bending you over on the flare switch out. Also, get the LED headlights from the factory - only $450 add on but if you do it after it's a minimum $1350 just for the headlights and labor on top if you don't do them yourself. Good luck with your hunt for a new one!

First time poster with an on hold Tacoma.

I have a 2022 TRD Off Road 4x4 V6 Army Green on hold. Sadly, it doesn't arrive till April. It comes with All-Weather Liners and Door Sill Protectors, Paint Protection Film, Door Edge Guards, Roof Rack (I'll probably sell this), Mudguards, Tonneau Cover, Tech Pack, Predator Tube Steps (Sell these? Are they worth it?). According to dealer it's $42,965 but since I know him it will be $40,331.

Sounds like a sweet ride! What do you mean exactly by "on hold"? Is it delayed, or do you just mean that it won't be here for a couple of months? I'm hoping they don't push back the anticipated delivery date for mine!

Bought my ‘21 DCLB OR back in December ‘20 right when prices were getting crazy. Found a dealer in Fresno, CA with a $5k mark up, they settled with $1k above sticker and worked in the 120,000 mile warranty into the price. I remember people flipping out on forums and fb groups for paying too much, but now I see I got a really good deal. Just hit 20k miles and apparently it’s worth (conservatively) $6-8k more than what I paid 15 months ago here in CA.

I guess the better word would be "reserved" for me. They aren't posting the vehicle on their website. He let me know it wouldn't arrive in till early April, so no actual transit delays, or at least not yet, but supply chain is crazy in the world right now.

I'm excited. I live in the city of Richmond, VA so a large truck like the F150 or Silverado isn't for for me due to their large size despite them looking nice and their interior features. A mid-size truck though is perfect. I'll be able to move furniture for my GF from or to our apartment easily. We don't live far from rural areas with trails or hiking areas. Excited to throw fishing equipment in the bed, plus won't have to worry about my rugby gear stinking up the interior.

Sticker when new, paid $37,500 used at 3500 miles. Clean private party value on Edmunds is $42,773 @ 18000 miles. Unbelievable. Recently at dealer to have oil change and tire rotation and no new Tacos on lot and few other Toyota new cars. When I see prices paid for new ones it boggles my mind...

Recently bought my used '19 TRD OR for $39k before TTF. Leather seats and sunroof. Prev owner from FL (no rust) had a 3yr lease. 24k miles. Also a manual trans which are difficult to find - next closest was 150mi away.

Avg on Autotrader and Edmunds is about $40-42 for sub 30k miles, TRD, double cab, within 200mi of Charlotte
