Just purchased my first Tacoma: 2022 Sport DCSB for MRSP without any BS dealer add-ons. I contacted approximately 15 places before finding a reasonable dealer.

Will be picking the vehicle up on 17th when I fly down to Florida for Thanksgiving. Can't wait!!!!

Just returned from a honda dealer here in AZ. They are hilarious. They just got in a 2023 Type R (which if it was so hot wouldn't be there) which was marked up by 5k with another 5k of adjustments. I had a 2022 Tacoma Pro Manual for a trade. KBB is between 53k and 57k and only has 700 miles. They call their sister Toyota dealer on trade. They offer 42,5k. Told them that's insulting even by car dealer standards. They pull the markets changed lol. Yeah I know but not that much. So, I say well then take the markup and adds off your car. How about 44k? How about pound sand? lol. BTW same Toyota dealer wants 15k over on 2023 Solar octane Pro plus adds. so 70k for yours and 42k for mine great deal.... For them.

Will that dealer get more Acuras if they don't sell the ones they have? I don't think Acura is going to build more cars if the dealership is sitting on stock. The demand for new vehicles, especially pqssenger cars has got to be lower than it was before 2019.

There's no sane reason for anyone who doesn't need a new vehicle to buy one right now. Mark ups, high intrest rates, pre-inflation. What incentive is there to buy a vehicle?

I'm not saying people shouldn't buy if they want to, and if you need a new vehicle you have to work with the market.

I can't believe how crazy the prices in the US have gotten. I retired from the Coast Guard and left the US on April 1st and moved to the Philippines to live with my wife. I just picked up a leftover 2021 Toyota Hilux Conquest 4x2 with the 4cyl turbo diesel which is similar to a Tacoma Sport 4x2 and I got my truck for $25,800 OTD price which includes three years registration and one year insurance here. To me that is what the price of this type of truck should cost, not the $30k+ that i was paying for cars when i was still living there in the US. I could have gotten a 2022 for $1k more if i waiting a month for it to get delivered but not worth the wait for me. it's too hot here and i need something besides a scooter to get around on. Also the model years here are the year the vehicle is built, not like in the US when you get a 2023 in 2022.

$30399 msrp and as a Toyota employee (bought at a competitor!) got tire/wheel for cost. I drive through some nasty construction areas and the roads in Mass are trash. I do so many claims as a service writer it’s like my specialty. 2023 sport manual 4x4

Picked up a 21 trd offroad double cab 5ft bed auto with 5k miles for 47K
However, dealer added on "foreverstart battery protection" for $899 and I didn't catch it (totally my fault for dropping my guard around dealers). Turns out it's a total scam "product" that entitles you to 3 battery replacements for the duration of your ownership of the vehicle. I reported the deal to corporate after trying to get rid of the the product to no avail.

is it heavily modified? $47,000 for a used Tacoma seems like Pro money or very customized.

Yeah... I feel like people are starting to get below MRSP on non 'high-demand' trims and colors for new. I paid $38,600 for my off-road a few month ago, which was MSRP. It was $44,000 after the $1.2k delivery/processing/handling fee and taxes, but not $47,000. Hopefully they're quoting the price after all the taxes.

No, it's quite basic actually but it does have only 5k miles (I checked all possible records, they didn't doctor the odometer). I'm aware I paid on the high end for it tho but in Chicago area that's pretty average price.

Not quite. With taxes and stealer fees it was 53k

Ah I see. I found a new one in Dekalb for under MSRP but what matters is you love the truck.

I saw the same one and it was my second option if I didn't get good financing on the 21 with 5k miles.
