First post here, although I have been a lurker for a few months preparing and doing my homework. The information on this site is invaluable!
Just got back from the dealer. I was going to place an order for a TRD PRO, but the dealer has 2 the system already waiting to be built. The only accessory was the Mudguards ($129). 2021 TRD PRO Auto transmission, Black. MSRP=$48040. Trading my 2016 Jeep Wrangler Willys Wheeler W. (I Owed 16,000, dealer offered me 17,000) (Carvana buy out was 15ish)
Dealer knocked $500 off MSRP, and gave me $1,000 more for my Jeep than what I owed. So essentially, I got $1,500 off the MSRP. All total OTD price, $49,098. After reading some of the horror stories on here, I'm happy. It's scheduled to be built around October 17, and they expect delivery late October, or early November. Now the wait begins!

Congrats! And no lunar rock? I'd invest in a ceramic coating for the black, my 16 was black, trust me, its worth it...

Thank you! I was originally looking at Lunar Rock, and even drove an hour away to see a Rav 4 Lunar rock in person. It just didn't quite do it for me. I'm definitely going to Ceramic coat the black.

My '15 was black. My favorite looking vehicle that I have ever had... when it was clean. Lasted for about 3 minutes after I washed it. Never again.

Amount owed is an odd way of calculating the value. 2016 wranglers are closer to 30k on the used market... did you have 100k+ miles ?

They didn't calculate the value based on what I owed. I just stated that they ended up giving me $1,000 more than what I owed. The Jeep has almost 92,000 miles. Their offer was at the top level of KBB.

Man I would have easily given you +2k more than what they gave ya. The market value is easily low/mid 20s for the wrangler!

Definitely don't buy form your first dealer! I've been working over multiple dealers the past week or so. Initial offer (fleet manager) was $41,800, got a second dealership counter-offer at $40,800. Just today I got a third dealer to counter-offer $39,870. All those do not include TTL/down payment/trade in/incentives/rebates. I emailed 83 dealerships across my state, maybe 40 responded (most at MSRP). Only 3 could beat the lowest initial offer of $41.8k. Hoping to get a final price this weekend. Then just waiting for the test drive/purchase sometime in Oct. All negotiations have been done over email and I've been using excel for tracking...

39,87 for an OR with premium tech? Dang that’s not bad in today’s world. I couldn’t budge anyone in my area below 42,2. Depressing. I’m also a LB and army green. Which apparently will be in short supply.

    1. 2021 TRD OR, Double Cab, Army Green, AT, Long Bed
    2. $44,055
    3. Premium OR Package, Tech Package
    4. All weather floor mats $135, Bed Mat $109, Tint $319
    5. Price before TTL: $42,245 (truck only), $43,345 (accessories included)
    6. Discount: 4.5% off MSRP.... Not very good. Bad time to buy a new truck. Screw Carona.
    7. Incentives: Pending. Waiting for truck to be delivered to find out if Toyota has anything going.
    8. Price OTD: Pending
    9. Trade in vehicle: 2017 Subaru For
    10. Trade in KBB: $16,000 - $18,000
    11. Actual trade value in pending
    12. Date purchased: Still pending. Order placed. Awaiting delivery.
    13. State purchased: Colorado
These prices are insane. If I was more patient I'd wait it out, but I'm irresponsible and want the truck now. And I was told the Army Green Long beds will be in short supply, so I'm not willing to wait and see if one is still available mid 2022

In Colorado as well. Put a $500 deposit a month ago now. Truck was built on 9/10 and I have a VIN. They're claiming the trucks are coming by boat and there are only two boats a month from Baja. Do you know when yours is being built and did they give you a timeframe? I expect mine by mid-October but who knows.

Denver area - Stapp in Longmont. They aren't a dealer for any of the banks I've used in the past (Capital One, BoA, Chase) so that kind of messes with your financing negotiations I guess (haven't done that yet), but my understanding is, Toyota financing generally gets under any offer you show them.

I was working through a custom order process for a 2020 with multiple dealers and Stapp called saying they just received a 2021 allocation that nearly perfectly matched what I was looking for + the blackout package. That was August 25th. All the dealers around are still in a "sold before they arrive" scenario. I was specifically looking for a Long Bed MT so didn't have much luck with anything being in stock.
