There’s always a new member every model year that shows up with an incredibly impossible deal. The dealer you bought from must be stupid.

But just so you know, like every curve, your score gets thrown out. The other 99% of us aren’t gettin that deal.

 

I betcha the dealer backdated their paperwork to get the sale on the previous month so they could hit a sales goal and get that bonus.

Nice job. Did you finance with TFS, what was the rate? Not familiar with how SET works since they don't do rebates like everyone else, customer cash or whatever they call it, but likely the dealer received factory rebates built into that $6500, so they weren't taking a loss at that point. Looking at your sticker it makes sense you're quoted $40k, there's $2k worth of port garbage, who the hell would pay $189 for interior LED bulbs that cost $20 and $699 for Toyotacare that is already included and paint sealant, plus $199 for USB ports and cables lol, SET is garbage with that bullsh*t.

 

Wait not only did you get a dealer to honor Costco pricing but it was also one that was not actively in stock. Nice!!! Costco dealers here in SoCal won't even honor pricing with on-hand inventory.

I was a little surprised to be honest. They had one allocated already, and it just happened to work out. Gave them a deposit as soon as they offered it. I couldn't get the local dealers to budge any more than $500.

I also tried reaching out to a dealership I've used in the Baltimore, MD, area (used to live down there). They were more willing to be competitive, but they weren't able to find a PRO model in the color I wanted (MBM). They do much higher volume down that way, and some of the other dealers in the area are offering $1K discounts on PRO models right on their websites with no negotiation whatsoever. Definitely are deals to be had for those that live out on the east coast.

 

Could you post a picture for your sales sheet? I’d like to see the complete deal with all the line items on the Germain Toyota of Naples form.

 

Hi Everyone. Just purchased (11/16/20) a 2021 TRD Off Road in Metallic Gray . The MSRP Window Sticker was approximately $38k. I am having the dealership (Koch 33 Toyota) install some parts for me as well which is not included in that $38k.

 

I live in Orange County, CA. Think I could get Germain Toyota of Naples to ship the same truck / same price to me in Cali?

 

Where are you located? 2x4 or 4x4? Double Cab or Access? 5 ft. bed or 6 ft. bed?

 

4x4, Double Cab, 5ft bed...my bad. I'm looking for more specs and will update later.

 

Not trying to throw too much caution to the wind, but tell me if these seems normal.

Gave the dealer was credit card information last week to put a deposit and place my order. After a week of, "manager's got to place the order and he's never around", I was told the order was placed, but they are waiting for confirmation from Toyota. Might not hear back until the end of the month.

Is this common? My only worry is no other dealer in the region was able to order me what I wanted....maybe they actually can't either?

38,113.31 + plus a bunch of other fees, taxes and registration bullshit. Also, they offered us 2.45% interest rate on a 25k loan.

Also they looked at my old taco, a 2011 SR5 V6 4x4 access cab w/ 100k miles and offered me only 11k!! It took me all of 12 hours to sell it private party for 16k.

It seems like as the buyer there isnt much leverage right now, with the auto buying programs like costco being a good move.

 

They should be able to order you whatever you want, however it does take a while. I ordered my 2021 in mid september and just was able to pick it up. It got build a couple weeks back.

 

I am currently looking in California for a TRD OR 4x4 DCLB M/T and I got two quotes for Army Green.

One w/o premium or adv tech package 37,575 & one w/ premium package for 40,510 (1500 above invoice)

Do I have much room to negotiate with a M/T request?
