I was thinking more along the lines of a midsized truck. The F-150 is a full sized one. As for the Gladiator, not only is it too costly, I simply don't like the way it looks.

I was focusing on midsized, but many of those Tacoma and Ford cross shoppers go F-150.

Looked around this weekend here in SoCal. Best I got quoted was msrp minus 500. Salesman told me production is slowing again? Can someone confirm? Maybe just trying to justify markup.
I will look again next month.

Not to hijack a thread, but will dealers take a trade in if I've sold a ton of OEM parts and strip the aftermarket stuff off my trade in to put on my new truck? Would feel weird trading in a '17 without bumper caps, fender flares, a chin strap or valance or grille. Trim plates, fog lights, interior door handles, dome light, a shifter knob... ok this list is way bigger than I thought. Yeah I'd be in trouble.

Maybe I could bring the new one home for a day, put all my aftermarket stuff on my new truck and put the OEM stuff on my trade in! Boom! haha

You should get your trade quote exactly like you are turning it in. They will take pictures.

I did my trade-in from my home office. It took the high res pics in my driveway. Hell, they used my pics on the dealer site when they took possession. I caught them. I said remove or I’m sending an invoice.

I'm not sure about any production slowdown, but I couldn't find a 2021 Tacoma TRD Off-Road with the color/options I was looking for in Southern California. A couple of the dealerships I've been working with around here said it might be 3-6 months to obtain the allocation I want. At one dealership, I had already had an allocation on the way (since last November) that they requested changes on, but the factory didn't accept the changes and delivered the truck in December based on their initial allocation...

So I started searching in Northern California, and I was able to locate an incoming 2021 Tacoma TRD Off-Road that was pretty close to what I wanted at Freeman Toyota (in Santa Rosa). I put a deposit on it last weekend, and hopefully I'll be picking it up in late February/early March (production ETA is 2/11). The only downside are the logistics for pick-up, but my wife and I will just rent a car (one-way) and make a short weekend trip out of it once it arrives. The sales price is also lower than what I've been offered locally.

Freeman was my go to from day 1. They NEVER had a color I wanted. But I used their discount - to get same match elsewhere.

My dad and I bought our Tacoma’s from them. My dad flew to SF, took a shuttle up to Santa Rosa and Freeman picked him up in the Taco for him to test drive it back to the dealer for signature. Another option you can look into

Yeah, I was pretty surprised they had the TRD OR in the color I wanted (Cement) + Premium Package in an incoming allocation as I haven't been able to find that anywhere locally.

Thanks for the suggestion, but we're planning on taking the dog up with us too and doing some sightseeing on the way back down. I used to live in S.F. so we'll turn it into a short weekend getaway.

So no SR5...what is the final price after you signed the papers and put down the deposit? I saw the other thread. C’mon...you gotta put that here. Even if it’s due to extenuating circumstances. Still counts.
