What are you paying for your 2021 Tacoma? (price thread)

Wow! You Cali-guys (and gals) really have to jump through alot of hoops just to buy a vehicle.

 

Just agreed to a deal with one of the local dealerships:

21 Tacoma OR SB 4x4
Cement Grey
Standard model, didn't opt in for the Tech or Premium package.
To be built on 10/31, should be arriving sometime in November.
Location: Minneapolis, MN

Before TTL I was able to get it down to $36k. That also doesn't include any manufacturer incentives or discounts at the time.
I feel like I could have done a bit better before COVID, but I've been looking for a while and think I got a decent deal.

 

Dual climate? Heard all V6 models have that now

 

Yes, was a bit surprised while adjusting the wrong side, lol. Picked up the vehicle before work the other day and have been too busy to even remove the glove box sticker.

New here, currently negotiating a 2021 TRD Off Road Double Cab with the 6 speed manual in Cement. Is anyone getting anything under MSRP when "ordering" a manual transmission?
There are literally ZERO within a few hours of me, one semi-local dealer has been helpful and found an allocation to trade for, but it seems like they aren't going to budge off MSRP.

 

Who did you negotiate with? Was it via email, phone or in person?
I also live in SoCal (OC) and have been looking for anyone to budge off MSRP.

Trying to price 2021 Tacoma with dealer. Toyota website is very confusing it lists Advanced Tech packages ~$3600. Is that possible to get Advanced Technology Pack without any other options on 2021 taco, the one that cost ~$1700?

New ones are 49k in Canada so I agree with you

 

2021 Tacoma SR Total MSRP $27,803 discounted $779

I prefer the simple stuff as in a 2021 Tacoma with the basic SR trim ($26,150) with the SR Convenience Package/Keyless Remote ($230) plus the Carpet Floor Mats and Door Sill Protectors ($248) plus Delivery, etc ($1175)

for a total of $27,803 MSRP/Sticker.

Dealer (Dorschel’s in Rochester, NY) discounted it $779 so my price = $27,024.

I don’t have the truck yet. I had to Special Order it because it’s 2WD, as in rear wheel drive. A very rare configuration in upstate NY. Only about 0.5% of the new Tacoma’s up this way are 2WD. 99.5% of them are 4WD. I don’t want 4WD.

It has the SR trim. I would have preferred the SR5 but the dealer said Toyota will not ship a 2WD SR5 to this part of the NYS. And not likely to the northeast USA.

I ordered it from the dealer at the end of July so it would be in the September build cycle. Too late for August.

Truck was built on September 11th and the dealer expects it around October 20th +/-.

They offered me $4500 for my 2006 Tacoma that I bought new 14+ years ago. No thanks. I’ll put it on Craig’s List instead. This site too in a few days +.

I live in Ontario. Dealt with Toyota in Ottawa. It was $47,070 before discounts.
Not bullshitting just dealt with 3 dealerships and they fought for my business..
Just didn’t jump on my first price.

I just find it far fetched a dealer is giving 4k off on a 2021 already.

 

Seems like you did alright to me given all factors these days. Esp if thats for an auto

I just had this dealer lie about having Tacomas in stock. I come in and he tells me:

"the lady that called you isn't a salesperson, she just tries to get ppl into the dealer"
"she told me she has 3 tacomas here"
"oh we only have manuals without premium package..."
"then why did she call me? the note in the computer says what i want"

Those Tacomas weren't even on the lot! They had a TRD Pro they were asking $10k over MSRP. He played the salesman game and started finding trucks at other dealers or incoming. All these were $3000 over MSRP. I usually circumvent these salesmen and go directly to the guy giving the numbers. You should've seen the look on his face when I came walking up. He knew he f***ed up because when I was done with him, he was stuttering. It seemed like, although the inventory is low, the salesman is having trouble closing deals because the numbers guy wants to f*** the customer.

I don't know why you didn't believe me? Ordered the off road premium. You were close but 3k in discounts, plus badges and bed mat were added to this deal.

 

So I went and did a thing guys,they gave me 40000 on my 2018 trade in. I'll post the rest when I get home but I got the first Army green in Kelowna OFF road premium
