Hoping my posting here doesn't jinx me, but I have paid the down and have a receipt with the VIN on it so I think I'm good. Anyway, after 4 months of searching (and somewhat forum lurking) I'm scheduled to pick this up on Saturday:

2021 TRD Sport 4x4 ACLB MT
    - LED Headlights

    Port Added:
    - Predator Steps
    - Blackout Package

    MSRP: $37,513

    Dealer Added:
    - LED Interior Lights - $199
    - Pinstripe - $149
    - Window Tint - $399
    - Carpeted Floor Mats - $299
    - Market Adjustment - $2,995
    - Nitrogen in Tires - $99
    - 3M Paint Protection - $800
    - 3M Door Edge Protection - $199

    Dealer's Asking Price was: $42,904 + TTL

My first discussion with them, they offered me an $41,843.65 OTD
    Which included:
    Doc Fee: $999
    Taxes: $2,391
    Tags: $487.50

We ended up agreeing on $40k OTD. So I think I am technically paying MSRP, maybe a few hundred less. Not the most amazing deal I know, but I haven't seen more than 10 or so of these at any one time in the nation so probably as good as I'm going to do considering the build I want. Also, it is the exact build I wanted (though I admittedly don't really care much about the predator steps).

Oh, and they are going to remove the pin striping before I get there. The tint they are trying to find the exact brand and percentage, so they might be removing that as well since I don't want to pay to have it removed when I upgrade to a darker ceramic based tint.

The people that are getting deals are putting in an extensive amount of time researching, negotiating, and waiting for the right situation to come around. Hours upon hours upon days and even into weeks and months.
Yeah, if you order one then try to negotiate you have lost all your bargaining power. We already had every facet of my deal ironed out in writing and signed by the manager before I put down a deposit and ordered mine. Pennsylvania has pretty consistently throughout Covid had some of the better deals.

Exactly. When it comes down to it they can charge whatever they want to charge and you agree to pay. In some places they are charging $1000-$10,000 market adjustment fees. Same thing, just worded differently. But if you’re sitting around waiting anyway then you might as well send your quote to every dealer within the radius that you would be willing to go. I would think you would find someone to beat it. That deal isn’t crazy good. And don’t let them tell you that the deposit is nonrefundable. All deposits are contingent upon inspection of the vehicle upon delivery.

When did you actually place the order? I ordered one around 12/1 and no word from anyone yet.

Totally agree. I didnt put in enough effort negotiating and waiting. If I did I could have saved a few thousand probably. If there would have been ones on the lot might have been easier but I wanted what I wanted, and payed the price to get that.

Hello, longtime lurker and new owner of a 2021 TRD Sport DCSB 4x4 in Voodoo Blue.

    MSRP 39,988
    - 37,280 Base + 485 LED Headlights + 800 Tech Package + 248 Floor Liners/Sill Protectors + 1,175 Destination Fee

    Toyota Rebate - 1,000 + Dealer Discount 2,268 = 3,268 off MSRP (8.2%)

    Dealer Processing Fee - 499

    Tags and Title - 174

    Taxes - 1753.14

    Trade-in - 9,000 (2006 TRD Sport DCSB 4x4)

    OTD - 30,146.14

I had restricted myself to a degree due to wanting the truck in Voodoo Blue with the LED Headlights and the Tech Package. I also didn’t want a truck built with the Tonneau Cover and/or the Predator Tube Steps. I had been looking and talking to dealers since mid-November

I am pretty satisfied with the deal.

Hey everyone! New Guy here. Just put deposit down on a 2021 TRD Pro. Should arrive end of March. MSRP $49,133. Paying $48,500 for it and NO doc fee. Seems like no discount for me but after looking through here, should be a decent deal.

I've been a long time lurker, finally took the plunge today and bought a 2021 V6 4x4 SR with the SX package. This forum was massively helpful, and I feel like I should contribute my experience. Here is what I paid, not an excellent deal but I'm happy considering I'm in the PNW:

    2021 SR V6 4x4 with SX package:

    MSRP per toyota website: $33,900*
    Purchase price before TTL: $30,400**

    **Includes $1000 Toyota rebate
*Also included were bed lights, mud flaps, door mats that are not reflected in MSRP above. FWIW these total about $500 on Toyota's website.

I should also point out I got about $500 less on my trade then the Edmunds.com average trade-in price. Just part of the game I guess.

I kept throwing quotes around between dealers across my state (probably 15 or so). Only a handful were even willing to work with me on price, many played games or the "we only give our 1 best price" line. Seems the dealers who had several SRs on the lot were more willing to talk. Spent about 12 hours over 2 days between e-mails/phone calls playing the game. I stopped when I had a couple dealers telling me they couldn't beat the best price I had and advised I take the other dealers price. One said he "couldn't believe it" so he called the other dealer to confirm they actually gave me the quote (I'm skeptical). Regardless, I'm stoked to be here!

In Ohio, spent a few weeks casually looking around and communicating with a few dealers. Colors are pretty limited here for Trd Off Roads.

Pulled the trigger today on a Trd Off Road DCSB. Not many add ons, predator steps, all weather mats, mud flaps, edge guards. MSRP was $39,621.00, was able to get them to $35,800.00 including the $1000 rebate. Had a trade in I was able to get $1000 more on as well.

The Costco Discount includes Factory incentives and dealer discount. Therefore the $3193 discount may also include the $1000 Toyota Incentive.

Is that a correct statement andagi808?

Looking at a 2021 SR5, V6 4X4 double cab long box with mud flaps as the only option, has to be allocated. It will take a few months to get. Looking at $36,750 OTD. Tax in Minnesota is high. That's about the best offer I am getting? Is that reasonable? It seems okay

Yup, that's how it was for me. But I had to ask for it, the dealership didn't automatically include it in their initial offer.

The Toyota factory incentive being offered is in addition to the Costco discount. Make sure you also get the Cosco price sheet from the dealer that lists the invoice price. Many dealers will just straight up lie about Costco pricing and whether or not they even participate in the Costco program, add fees, etc. make sure you go through Costco website. One tried adding this bunk when I was looking.
