My 17' taco with tow package is rated to pull up to 6700lbs. I'm wanting a camper to travel with me for work. How much are you pulling or able to stop safely with?

Didn't think about it til after...also being a different topic I thought a different tread would be better. Are we limiting threads?

No, but there are different sections. Look for the towing bible on here

While the numbers Toyota allows may have changed across generations, the general rules are the same for towing.

Here is a couple days reading to get you started.

Keep in mind that trailer brakes & anti sway devices are very important with any significant weight.

And expect your MPG to be single digit with full capacity loads at hwy speeds.

I guess what I'm suggesting is what something is 'rated' for and how much you should tow around on a regular basis might be two different things.
