Just finished book 2 in the “Dark Tower” saga by Stephen King. It’s great, so far! Also recommend his book “The Stand.”

I came here to review a book and saw this.

    #irony

I just finished "All the Light We Cannot See" by Anthony Doerr. It's a Pultzer winner with a very different slant on war. Set primarily in France and Germany during WWII, It gives the reader a perspective on how the war impacted civilians and young German boys indoctrinated by the Nazis.

Intrigue, history, and an insightful study of the human condition. Written beautifully, almost like poetry at times.

    Highly recommend.

Most of what I read is non-fiction, as I am always hungry for learning new things. I especially read books on physics, American Law/Legal system, and dinosaurs. I only read a very few fiction / fantasy authors, of which Tolkien is my hands down favorite. I've read The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings so many times over the last 40 years, I have them damn near memorized. I have read several of Tolkien's other works, and just last weekend started reading The Silmarillion (for the 2nd time in 40 years).

I like books like this, that tell the story from the another side of things. I’ll have to add it to my list.
I read Manhunt by James Swanson about the 12 day hunt for Booth and his accomplices, it showed that alternate perspective really well.

Okay, I’ll read it in that order. Glad you said that when you did because I just finished The Waste Lands and started Wizard & Glass.

Also, I just noticed “The Little Sisters of Eluria.” Where does that fit in?
