If you don't mind a bit of sci-fi and fantasy with your humor, try out He Who Fights with Monsters. Australian gets sucked into another world where its kinda like a video game.

Thing is since I was Hurt I only spend money on the basics Taxes, Insurance and Food .

I have not bought a new book in over 2 years. Just rereading what I have on hand which have added up over the years .

I always enjoy finding new authors to read

The greatest book ever written...The Holy Bible.
Tells us what's happening, why it's happening and what to expect in the future.
    AND how to survive it.

Interesting read But I have read better books .

Stuck in a blizzard the only thing to read started and read the entire book .

Not being a Christian I am sure my take was very different.

No! I live in the woods.

I could buy a yearly membership to the closest library . The fact it is in Down Town which sucks and only expensive parking kinda keeps me from doing so now.

I tried when I first moved to this location it never worked out very well.

25 miles away with very many lights the last 10 miles as well.

I really like our hamlet. Free library membership and free heated, underground parking.

Latest re-read was Little America, the war within the war in Afghanistan. Having spent so much time there, I find the book very entertaining to know the story within the story, follies, personalities, etc. It's just so funny, I worked with or alongside several of the people in the book, both US/Brit/Afghan, and it seems like an interesting addition to the story.

So I'm having a change of mind and thinking about getting either a Kindle or a Nook. Looking for some opinions on them. Which do you prefer, price, etc. Thanks.

I just use the kindle app on my phone personally. If I were to get something, I'd want something I can dim quite a lot for reading in bed.

If you have Amazon its the best thing. I've thought about getting one because we travel so much and would take up way less space. My wife also has hers to where she can borrow ebooks from the library which I think is pretty cool too.

Just started Barrayar, the 3rd book in the Vorkosigan Saga by Bujold. I'm really liking this series so far, but I wish each story was a little more interconnected. Thank you to whoever recommended it!
