May I also suggest: The Age of Surveillance Capitalism by Shoshana Zuboff? I picked this up after watching "The Social Dilemma" and "The Big Hack" on NetFlix. Both are documentaries on the use and abuse of social media by Google, Facebook, etc. The book is going into very intimate detail how these companies gather personal information to predict our future behavior based on past behavior and how they skirted or just plain ignored privacy laws to get the information.

I finished The Count of Monte Cristo last night and really enjoyed it. The first three parts took me about a month and I finished the last part in two days because I couldn't put it down.

Starting Connfessions of St Augustine at the DMV this morning.

The one time I thought to bring a book they were actually moving pretty good. I only had one person in front of me and waited less than two minutes.

Let me share a little reading adventure I've been on recently. So, I stumbled upon Colleen Hoover's books online, and oh boy, they've become my latest obsession.
The first one I picked up was "It Ends with Us," and let me tell you, it's a whirlwind of emotions. Hoover has this incredible way of weaving stories that hit you right in the heart. I laughed, I cried, and I found myself completely engrossed in the characters' lives.
What's awesome about bookwormera.com is that it's like a treasure trove of literary gems. You can discover new books and authors, which is how I fell head over heels for Hoover's work.

the Empire of Man series by David Weber and John Ringo. It's kind of a cross between The Odyssey and Anabaxis in space

"Masters of The Air". The story of the Eighth Air Force in England from beginning to end. Amazing detail encompassing everything from building the airstrips to flying the missions. Highly recommended if your taste run toward WW2 military history.

Tore thru Braxton's Turn and Braxton's Plan by Stephen R Marks. I know him from providing tech services to my company. He dropped by and gave me both books (unsigned ) because I'm Type 1 a couple of weeks ago. Nice fiction that many of us might dream about for politicians in DC.

Recently completed: "Death Is Our Business, Russian Mercenaries And The New Era Of Private Warfare" by John Lechner, 2025, 261 pages.

Overwhelmingly, the book covers the birth of Prigozhin/Wagner and the conflicts the were/are engaged in, as well as the "competitors" they gave rise to.
