Yeah I agree but I don't mind paying to rent something on occasion except when they're charging 20 bucks for it. Plus the whole platform isn't laid out very well and sometimes the streaming isn't very good. For such a big and rich company you'd think that they would do better.

Started watching Trainwreck: Woodstock '99 on Netflix. Its alright so far but seems to be just kind of thrown together and meanders around in a strange way. So far I'd say the HBO Woodstock '99 Doc was put together better.

Yeah, they touch on a lot of the same stuff but I think the HBO one went a little deeper and was more interesting overall. Although the Netflix one shows a bit more of the actual music and has some of the old MTV VJ’s in it which was mildly entertaining.

Worth the watch even with the outcome known. Not Apollo13 caliber imo.

I’ve seen 2 of the 3 NF episodes. having been at the show it’s an interesting perspective of the need to make money and how the whole thing was doomed from the start.
luckily our tent was on high ground and away from the s city. We left as chili peppers started and drove past all the parking lot riots. Glad we left when we did.

    "Prey" (new Predator)

It was not that great IMHO. Didn't scare at all. Very predictable.

    Girl power = check
    Native American power = check
White man stupid, swarming and can't fight = check, well ok they were French, so there is that. Europeans are lower than the Predator message, with a cigar.

The fact they didn't translate the French was OK, I could understand much of it, but then the language of choice was English, yeah I know, "for the audience". Seemed odd because she had never seen Europeans. The time was 171X I think 1716 or so.

The action was good, I was rooting for her. But the patronizing, glorifying..............OK OK it was an Arnold fantasy movie. If you enjoyed it, then fine. I guess I get tired of the same theme.
What happened to the other guy on the tree who was mouthing off at her?

    Our Great National Parks. NFLX.

Holy shit. There's not many shows that I've watched that make my LG C1 OLED pop like the cinematography in this. I actually paused it at a few points just to look at the details in the screen.

That was favorite nature documentary after Planet Earth, wish it was longer (maybe they'll do more seasons, not sure)

Yeah, it is quite good. I wish they'd left out the enviro agenda that's subtly hidden in most of the episodes but that doesn't detract from the visual experience.

Well that explains why the critics love it. I thought it was quite average. Right when her dog got his tail caught in a bear trap, I knew it was poorly written.
CGI was pretty bad looking. All the animals looked fake, at least during the action scenes.
