What are you streaming on Amazon, Netflix, etc?

about 1/3 into Season 3, I’ve become pretty disappointed; hopefully it shapes up.

 

House of the Dragon premiers tonight on HBO

 

Debating waiting till October to watch all of them or start it now…. Not sure

When the opening scene is a very overt "we're barely phoning it in because our producers want a cheap buck,"

Yeah. I have low expectations and the movie is still a disappointment.

 

We will probably wait, sign up for one month, then binge it all. I've been over the whole one episode a week thing since the 90's ended.

 

Not sure if it’s been mentioned on here, but I began watching Yellowjackets on showtime yesterday, and so far it’s really good.

I always expect a movie to be crap. Giving Hollywood the benefit of the doubt at this point just isn't worth it. lol

Just finished what we do in the shadows on hulu. Not sure what I'm going to watch next. Was on Lost in Space but it was starting to get boring so don't think I'm gonna finish it.

Funny, even the finale Epi 8 was half good and half bull shit.

 

House of the Dragon was pretty great, I usually don't put a lot of stock in premier episodes because they are usually just laying out the groundwork. But I was impressed. My heart is guarded though based on how poorly GoT ended so we'll see lol.

 

I’m not going to get into a discussion about House of the Dragon, but is anyone else noticing that all the new television shows are so dark?

Not like thematically dark, but like somebody turned down the brightness setting on your television to the point that you can’t see anything unless you are sitting in a pitch black living room.

All the new Star Wars shit, pitch dark, I can’t see what’s going on. The new house of the dragon, pitch dark, can’t see shit.

I tried to see if this is just something wrong with my TV, but it’s also completely pitch black on my iPad.

Are they trying to cover up that they are not actually broadcasting in the highest resolution? Are they trying to cover up bad make up, bad visual effects, bad sets?

 

I just had this issue yesterday watching a show, and was going crazy while messing with the settings lol definitely sucks when you can’t make things out during certain scenes

 

Its the batman effect.

My oldest just entered 7th grade so his bedtime just bumped to 9pm… which is my bedtime because I get up early.

We’ve been watching a bunch of 30 of 30 but I’m trying to come up with a show that’s appropriate or movies.

Any recommendations for classics that’s appropriate or interests todays 12 y/o’s?

I’ve been pushing hard for spaghetti westerns but he won’t bite.

We found Forest Gump is surprisingly racy.
