My wife and I were speculating that it had to do with deviations from the source material.

 

yeah a lot of people are saying they think that's what it was. The Witcher puts out a new season every ~18 months or so I think? Plenty of time in between to work on other projects so I don't really see how doing a few Superman movies would effect that.

Anyway, if anyone had a shot at filling his shoes for that character then I think Hemsworth might be the one to pull it off so we'll see.

 

I know what I’ll be watching over Christmas vacation.

 

Been watching the new rendition of All Quiet on the Western Front on Netflix. It's intense and very, very well done. Gotta check it out if you can.

 

It’s in German with English subtitle?

 

Its dubbed in English but to be honest you can hardly tell, it's done really well.

 

I watch everything with subtitles since my daughter was born a few years ago, I've just gotten used to it. I've actually found it really helps with understanding particularly fast paced dialogue or hard to hear dialogue, especially in shows like House of the Dragon where the names are hard to decipher and people are mumbling all the time lol.

 

Somewhat off topic but I thought Man of Steel was the most boring Superman movie since the creation of the character.

That’s definitely the common feeling. I liked it, the idea of a dad training a man in how to be good and being an inspiration for people to be their best selves. Probably stems a lot from my upbringing but I thoroughly loved those themes throughout the movie. But I know I’m in the minority

all quiet was intense I agree.

I like that big mouth show, just dropped a new season. Can’t believe it’s two years until more HOTD

 

Whats crazy to me is, the first 5 or 6 seasons of Game of Thrones were released within 9 months of each other. All the location filming all over the world they did for that show and they still put out those seasons in less than a year for 6 years. I think the last two seasons they took a lot more time to write and film (also the worst seasons)

Not sure why HOTD will take so long except that I expect there is going to be way more action next season now that the war has started, and they're going to have a ton of dragon CGI to do which I know takes a lot of time and $$$$

Also, there are at least 2 more Game of Thrones related series coming out in the next year or so

 

I’ll probably read the book and be a snob by the time season two starts lol

 

Ha I told my wife the same thing, I'm not waiting two years to find out what happens next. Except I'll probably do the audio book since I have a lot of opportunity at work to listen to stuff while working.

I finally got to watch PEACEMAKER.
Loved it.

The kid playing Harold Lauder is straight up creepy!(but, I guess that's the idea, right!?)

How in the F did she not notice what a shit hole that street was? Rain and night time doesnt hide that every home on a street has caved in.

 

Started season 4 of sinner. Kinda of a different show but I like it. The new season has been pretty interesting so far.
