What are you streaming on Amazon, Netflix, etc?

War Sailor on Netflix. Pretty harrowing limited series (3 episodes) about a group of merchant sailors in WWII that get conscripted into working for the Allies while at sea after being under Nazi rule in Axis controlled Norway.

It's a Norwegian production and dubbed in English, it's done well. I'm 2/3 of the way through it, it's really good.

 

Just finished Mayor of Kingstown.

Not what I thought it would be. It was pretty good.

I enjoyed it too. I might have to read the books after I am done reading my current one

 

I finally finished The Blacklist. I’ve been a watcher since the first episode but lost touch when the switched days during the end of the last season, stupid DVR. Somewhat fitting ending I guess, on his terms.

 

A Million Miles Away....good true story. Michael Pena is just a great actor.

You’re going to like the books and frankly - you will have an advantage. Jordan is quite the interesting writer. He really did not reveal the forsaken like the show does. You tell me when you start reading if he tells you right away who Selene (Lanfear) is and the truth that Ishamael is in the Seanchan.

Yeah, watching now and it is good. It's a nice feel good movie. Good to change it up every once and awhile

 

Anatomy of a Scandal, NF.
the GF and I ripped through it this weekend, started slow but finally picked up some speed with a few twists. Sienna Miller is also nice on the eyes.

 

Band of Brothers on Netflix

A sequel by Hanks and Spielberg is coming out at the end of this year, Masters of The Air. About the 100th Bombardment group during WWII, I'm excited for it. Band of Brothers was incredible.

Was supposed to come out earlier but got delayed due to covid

 

Oh, that's def one to look out for.

On that delay note........ I can only imagine the delays for all the movies and shows over the next few years with all the writer and actor strikes going on right now. It's gonna make a huge impact

 

Yeah we are going to feel it for sure, fortunately there's so much content these days that it won't be too bad hopefully. Like the writers strike back in 2008(?) was, but this one might go on for a real long time so we'll see

 

Black Mirror Season 6 (Netflix)

Ep 1 was meh, 2 and 3 are really good. Episode 3's story in particular was wild, forgot how much I liked this show

I would rather trim my toe nails too short than to watch "Suits". My wife is downstairs watching that crap while I am upstairs sipping J.D. on the rocks.
