Agreed. I am currently caught up and not that excited for the rest of the releases. I'm sure I will watch them because lack of options for new shows. It's a meh, time kill, series at best.

 

I am on season 2 of Rome Empire Docuseries, very informative.. only issue i have is season 2's timeline takes place before season 1 but they aren't consecutive in story which is fine, feels like i am watching what game of thrones would be if it was based on real events

Brutal for those guys. I'm about 1/3 in. Very good. I know the story, but this is a good telling. People used to say AF was relatively safe. Not for the 8th. I'm sure at the end they will say they had the highest casualty rate. Friggen brutal.

Yeah, like I said, I am a huge WWII history reader, along with Vietnam.
I thought I knew most of the big shit about WWII. This show was a bit of an unexpected eye opener. Glad you liked it.

I am on season 3 of the Roman Empire Docuseries.. and honestly.. i already have that upset feeling knowing there isnt a 4th season. This docuseries has been very informative... but not enough.. i have been cross referencing wikipedia while watching and some details are missed.. some are pretty important too

 

finished the succession series. that logan roy is an asshole and brian cox will win more awards because of it. hell that show will win at least 8 next month

 

May have to check that out. I'm always down for WWII and Civil War stuff.

 

My wife’s grandfather served in the 9th infantry in WWII. He never talked about it, but when I met the man(not long before he passed)he for some reason shared a story. It was frightening, he had tears in his eyes, the room was silent. My wife, me, her grandmother sat in somewhat a state of shock. He spoke with intensity, never quite looking us in the eye. Italy, heavy rain, muddy cliffs… Fear they weren’t going to make it to the target area to fight. Trucks sliding off cliffs, men fighting in a battle to reach the war zone not knowing if they’d get there……

I’ll never forget the man, the story, the fear felt while listening to a grown man weep..

We owe them all in one way or another…..

 

My guess that was Salerno. Absolutely chillingly brutal and yes muddy. Somewhat of a questionable plan, frankly. All the shit that would scare anyone.
