What are you streaming on Amazon, Netflix, etc?

Yeah. We have been long time NetFlix customers but when they announced cost was going up and commercials were coming, we S-Canned them. Tired of paying for what has become Turner Classic Movies.
Still get Amazon because it comes with Prime, but they are adding in commercials now too.
Paramount is decent.
No Hulu for us.

Mostly watch YouTube. Not the subscription either.

 

Just saw Tokyo Vice has a season 2. The show is an acquired taste but wow S1 ended up being good when you get into it. If you like Michael Mann stuff, like i do, watch this. Anyone else like this show?

We loved Season 1 but not sure what they can surprise us with Season 2….skeptical

Rewatched Clarkson’s Farm S1-2 again. New season drops soon.

 

It’s a fun show to watch, but most people who are familiar with Japanese police and the Yakuza said he made all that shit up. Then the show runners turned to BS up to 11.

Jake Adelstein is a real person, and he wrote a book about his experiences as a reporter in Japan dealing with the Japanese police and the yakuza. It has since been discredited by just about everyone, but he continues to state everything he wrote is true.

 

I knew that. But it is highly fictionalized!

 

Yes, most of us liked it.

2nd Season acceptable

Acting seems a little forced but that might be the whole vibe

 

Started Black Bird on Apple yesterday, I am hooked. About a former athlete turned drug dealer. Gets caught and sent to prison, but gets a one time deal to have his sentence commuted if he can befriend a serial murderer in a max security facility and find out where he buried bodies the authorities can't find.

I believe it's Ray Liotta's last project before he died.

 

Griselda. Netflix.

The Outer Limits (1963). S2.
Ep 6 Cry of Silence; Ep 7 Invisible Enemy; Ep 8 Wolf 359; Ep 9 I, Robot.

 

Griselda was interesting to watch and then read about her family's reaction to the film afterwards. The cocaine godmother or something like that in Miami. Her son was mad because they didn't include her other accomplishments in the drug world and cartels. Loving mother vicious lady.
American Assassin was a surprise with Michael Keaton. Good story. Keaton was excellent in it.

 

Reacher season 2: I enjoy the action, but he doesn't seem like a good actor. He's just so monotone/robotic. Maybe that's how he's supposed to play this guy though

 

Resident Alien, Netflix.
Interesting series, definitely something new. Not gonna win any awards, but might be worth watching. Kind of funny.

 

Ghosts on Gem. The Wu Asassins on Netflix.

 

Finished Black Bird, AppleTV. Wow, that was good...definitely among my favorites

Had no idea it was based on a true story, glad to hear that fucker is still in prison to this day.
